I want Herman as the HC here, the question though still remains, does Herman want to coach here?

If we lock onto Herman, we need to show him why it is a better job than USCe. Should not be hard to do.

LULZ at dopes who think USCe is a better job than UM. A HOF HC, who won the SEC a million times at UF, couldn't even win the SEC once at USCe. Spurrier is a god there, and he never won the **** SEC. They've been a doormat the entire time they've been in existence.

Spurrier said he preferred the SC job because Florida fans were delusional and the SC fans treated him fair. Coaches get to actually choose for themselves what the best job is. If you have no fear you, you badly want to win a title or you covert the NFL you come to Miami. If you want to coach in front of sold out stadiums, get paid more money and not get flack by unrealistic fans you go to SC.
Show me that quote. If it came out of his mouth I'm sure it was when he was still the HC at South Carolina.

If your goal is to coach to fans who don't put pressure on you to win, then you're a loser, and I don't want you here anyway. By the way, ask Brad Scott and all the other coaches that SC fired if there's pressure to win there.

IF you care about winning big then UM is a much better job than USCe. Not even really debatable.

One thing that I've gotten much better at is confrontation with my assistant coaches. I've learned that it's O.K., you just can't ever make it personal. I think that's one thing that you learn from someone like Urban, or if you've heard Nick Saban talk. It's never personal. It's never, "You stupid jerk, why did I hire you?" The way to handle it is, "You're not doing your job. This is what we need you to do. Get it done. These are the expectations."

I think I just came in my pants a little.

his buyout is what 2.25 million? Then you gotta pay the guy north of 3 million imo

I don't think he's coming here, southern cal is gonna get him

Herman is also the type to run up the score and prefers to win via shutout. we need a step on the throat type of coach that doesn't care about PC and class.

Based on what?

common sense pretty much

he's the number 1 head coaching material out there right.. do you really think we can snag him for less than 3m per year?

Where are you getting this arbitrary number from? Miami has said money isn't an issue. We have the best roster of the available teams.

he could be urban or he could be garbage.

this year houston's SOS is 117th.....

if they finish the next 3 weeks undefeated then i say okay. but beating louisville by 3 points isnt enough for me to crown him.

That's an awful lot of absolutes in there for no reason.

Urban or garbage? There's no middle ground? Crown him? Who is crowing him?

its a fair assumption we arent looking for the next 8-4 to 9-3 coach (which would be in between). he wouldnt be garbage but going 8-4 to 9-3 each year is garbage if you ask me (dont care how the last 10 years have went).

it is also a fair assumption that a lot of people are on his nuts after 9 games as a head coach against the softest of competition.

I like Herman very much. While you do make a fair point about the softness of competition, what type of talent does Herman have on his squad that he is beating this soft competition with?

If Herman doesn't land a gig at USC or Miami. I see no reason for him to even leave Houston. That program has the edge over every school outside of the Florida schools. Those schools are dead atm and he can easily build Houston to be an unstoppable force and either land a better gig or get them invited to the Big 12.

I would rep this 100x if I could. Herman is building a Canes like program at UH. There is no reason for him to leave for anything but a dream job or an immediate shot at a title.

Saw that he's already starting to get a couple of 4 star skilled players. I want Butch, but man, Herman is nice! Love what he brings to the table.

11/12 2015...Fast forward to 11/12 2020 and say to yourselves " WoW -and we could have had Herman " His next job- whether it's the "U" or not- will be the springboard to a national championship...I personally think he's made for California and the Trojans of USC.,,, Given a choice of "The U" or USC it's a Pac 10 choice...

This article needs to be spread to as many people as possible. I have emailed it to Blake James, Stuart Miller and Paul Dimare already.

What has Herman done to be considered better than Charlie Strong? Beat Cincy?

These fools are tripping. Herman inherited a team that won 16 games the previous two years. This year Herman has Houston undefeated against the Sh*ttiest schedule in America......but he is a Beast. PhuckOutta Here!

Herman may turn into a Good HC......But he is far from PROVEN to be considered for the Re-Birth of The U!!

NO HERMAN!
