The SEC should secede from the United States and go back to living normally.
I agree though everyone would be watching.. highest ratings ever for all the sports.Americans are impatient and have ever shorter attention spans. If this drags on for that long, there will be pressure for some degree of normalcy. Even if huge gatherings are too dangerous, people will still want the games to watch at home. Ratings would be huge and empty stadiums wouldn't matter. But no SEC attendance smack? Duke with the same home field advantage as Ohio State and Clemson? What a weird season it would be.
Koreans were running 20,000 tests per day a month age, and yesterday the entire State of Georgia had 5500 tests! This virus won’t be under control until we actually have testing widely available throughout the country not just for people with symptoms, but also to identify asymptotic people who can also transmit the virus. The lack of testing has created this absolute chaos and helped to destroy the economy. Between the deaths and economic destruction, there will never be a sufficient apology or explanation for how the S Koreans were running 20,000 tests per day a month age, and yesterday the entire State of Georgia had 5500 tests!
all that absolute incompetence aside, life will have to resume at some point, including sports. Athletes will be tested before practices and games, and if they test negative they will be allowed to play. I Don;t think you’ll have fans in seats in 2020 in any sport because WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH TESTS to make it safe to stand 6 inches from a stranger.
similarly, most of us won’t ride in planes, stay at hotels, visit casinos, attend concerts, and many won’t dine in at restaurants until who know who has the virus and who does not.
this is a 12-24 months process. Let’s hope it’s 12 months.

This makes no ******* sense to me. We knew this **** was coming and we didn't ramp up testing and ventilators in January. Our government let us down big time. They knew this was coming.
South Korea has a population of 51 million
Georgia 10 million
Do you want to do the math there?
Hypothetically, if the NFL went ahead and cancelled the season now but still had the 2020 draft, if I were the Dolphins I'd ignore quarterback this year and stock up on everything else. Then use the 2021 draft to go after Lawrence or Fields.
Why is that?At this point it’s a coin flip at best that D’Eriq King ever takes an official snap for the University of Miami.
Why is that?
Because there’s a pandemic that has the entire country on lockdown. It’s been on the news.
Like one in a million. “So you’re saying there’s a chance....”Kirk is just using commonsense. At this point in time there is a great chance there will be no CFB and is the correct decision.
We won’t be doing this social distancing crap in August. Everyone will be outside and doing their regular businessIf the season is called, the NCAA will make that decision sometime in late July, or early August at the latest. That time frame is only four months away. How many of you honestly think we will be done with this thing in four months?

even if the season were cancelled over this flu and complete overreaction, players would get a red shirt year, so yes King will suit up, unless we hide in our houses forever.
Hadn’t heard. I don’t watch a lot of television.Because there’s a pandemic that has the entire country on lockdown. It’s been on the news.
