Ill be surpised if Walton makes it in 2015..( but I cant remember the last time a Booker T kid didnt make it) I have seen them all play and I feel Cronkite and Scarlett are more talented then Walton. Walton is better than OT but he's good at everything but great at nothing..He doesnt have the explosion of Scarlett and Cronkite IMO. I cant wait to see these opening numbers. Dont shoot the messenger but Ive never been that impressed with Walton, I hope cronkrite stays

I'm sorry but UM has to cover all bases in this one....... If Williams flips to florida and walton doesn't classify in the 2016 class, and stop recruiting Scarlett then the only rb we have is conkrite then we will be left with our as5 out in the wind..... Because then we would only have yearby,gus, and cronk. We need at least 3-4 running backs preferably 3(walton, cronk, Scarlett) and Williams as an athlete. It will be perfect if walton doesn't go to the 2015 class and stays in the 2016 class so in that way it created separation between the RBs.....

The staff has explained this over and over to Jordan that they have to take 2 and he knows this but also the staff said who they are willing to let walk when they officially get 3 2015 commits which they don't as of now according to the staff and also explained how they will let that person know. He is well aware of that but the way he is quoted in an interview it comes out a little different. All he has said is he doesn't want to be part of a 3 RB class, that's it.

How bout the most likely scenario.

See Walton ending up in '16 like a lot of us suspect already. I still doubt the reclassification.

We take Cronk, Williams and Scarlett. Williams as more of the athlete position, could play just about anywhere on the field.

And call it a day. That's what I really see happening realistically.

That would be a dream come true but I doubt JC believes that we are taking Dex as a athlete. If Scarlett commits...then no matter what happens with walton will lead to a JC decommitment which I would hate

Then were gonna have to deal with it. Cause their is a shortage of runningbacks already. Only have Duke, Yearby and Gus. And we have Tucker play some even at fullback.

He really should see the opportunity cause regardless, he has a shot to play early.

We need backs BIG TIME!

That would leave us with 2 backs.

Let's say Cronk, Scarlett and Williams came for 2015. That's 5 now.

2 out of the 3 would play early. **** if Cronk wants a leg up, try and get in early. Williams still needs to fine tune as a RB, not a natural like Scarlett and Cronk YET.

And you never know if 1 or 2 or maybe all 3 could be better than Yearby or Gus already as freshman. Idk though, if I were a betting man... Would say Yearby is our guy, but could easily see 2 of the 3 I said playing early and possibly Scarlett being a 1-2 punch with Yearby.

And I have the gut feeling fullback is in the future for Gus.

I also have this gut feeling Walton doesn't end up in 2015 but.... He enrolls early in 2016.

I remember the string of runningbacks we had for years. Went from Edge to Jackson to Portis to McGahee to Gore.

They will all get a fair shot.

This is all hypothetical too.

But my view.

Walton just ends up enrolling early for 2016.

We get Cronk, Scarlett and Williams.

Williams is still very raw(Does have a huge ceiling though) Taken as an athlete. I can already picture how were gonna use him. RB/WR/Returns.

Cronk and Scarlett as pure rbs.

Dex since he is not a true running back and more of an athlete? Maybe that's the reason they are talking to him about playing receiver because of his speed and explosiveness? I don't think they would do it to Walton because of the btw connection....

Based on that comment and what you've said about Walton, unless I'm reading this wrong you're saying the staff has told Cronkrite they'll push Dexter Williams out if Walton reclassifies.

That's shocking and would only make me question the staff even more if it comes to that. He has the most athletic potential of any of our current commits. Wow...

Since I'm sure you know about the last cycle of rb debacle, what happened? Was UM ever in it with Cook?

But I really can see Williams being used as a Harvin/McCluster/Austin here more so than a RB.

I still doubt Walton is coming for 2015. Thinking 2016 Early Enrollment.

And Cronk and Scarlett would truly be the only pure RBs.

Were gonna know more on this pending what Sam Bruce does Tuesday.

I still strongly think we get all 4. But Walton ends up in 16, just don't see it for 15 for him, he had so much work to catch up on and nothing really OFFICIAL has come out on it yet.

No one should be the odd man out. Suck it up and do what's good for the team. Recruiting is fluid, staff had no idea that Walton would reclassify.

Cronk is basically trying to force the staffs hand, trying to get them to drop a great prospect because he doesn't want to be apart of a 3 RB class.

Walton, Scarlett (if he commits) have no problem with the numbers.

I sort of understand his position but at the same time I don't like the attitude. Hope he rethinks his position and wants what is best for the team

I do realize why Cronk will be upset, but the man really need to be patient.. Dex IMO this best man in our 2014 class talking about his family wearing that UF gear, and still has more visits he wanna take, being 80 % committed 0.o, so not 2 sure about him.. Walton still hasn't qualified really ... SO if Scarlett joins and say you got Dex leave and Walton not qualifying for 14 then the staff didn't lie after all, and we will still be in play for a couple package deals of of JJ and Timmy, and Scarlett probably bringing in Bruce, more importantly Scarlett and Cronk will stay solid IMO. Lets see if he waits "for all the dominoes to fall"... bcus Cronk is a beast.
