I understand but alcohol also strips you of your better judgment so you unfortunately don't make the appropriate decision under those circumstances.Look, not getting in anything online. I mean, in his case, get an Uber or DD, you have the means. I also suggested a DD.
In other people’s case, if you’re living paycheck to paycheck, maybe you shouldn’t being going out and drinking and driving. Because now, if you get pulled over, or worse, like Ruggs, you’re in deeper crap. Drink at home, it’s cheaper either way. Honestly, unless people are out super late like Ruggs, Ubers/Lyft aren’t going to be that expensive.
Idk what bike week is. But if any of them hurt someone because they rode drunk, then the same would be said to them. Not just by me, but many others, to include the victims family.
All I’m saying is find an alternative. What ever that means to you or anyone else. I’m in the military. We have issues with DUIs. One of the things thats been pushed down our throats from boot camp until now is: have a plan, have a DD. We’ve been had leadership offer to pick up Sailors if they couldn’t find a ride. I’ve worked with people who have family members that died to drunk drivers. ****, one of the neighboring commands had a Sailor drive drunk and he killed someone. I got a call asking if it was one of my guys.
There are options out there. If those options don’t work for you, we’ll then, you better pray you don’t get pulled over or get in an accident.
Don’t risk your life or other lives. Have a plan. People have families. Those are my thoughts.
Yeah which is ironic when people ask how this happens. Called impairment for a reason.I understand but alcohol also strips you of your better judgment so you unfortunately don't make the appropriate decision under those circumstances.
Ah yes, the jaywalking crossers.stall worth hit the guy crossing 395 illegally right?
you are blaming being high driving 90?Sad story. Obviously RIP to the victim and it’s 100% his fault but I feel for Ruggs. I rolled a car 4 times going 90 in Wyoming when I was 19 and neither me or my two cousins in the car were permanently hurt. Id smoked weed earlier. It’s only by dumb luck and a miracle that I didn’t kill myself or somebody I love and I live with that everyday. This guys Life will never be the same. Hope he rises to it and turns it around but I’d bet against it.
I get it. That’s why you should have a plan before that happens. That’s all. I mean we’re all human, we all do things we regret. There are some things we can come back from. Praying for all in involved.I understand but alcohol also strips you of your better judgment so you unfortunately don't make the appropriate decision under those circumstances.
pretty much no one said throw him in jail and throw away the key but carry on. My uncle spent 4yrs in jail for this exact situaltion. I guess the rich elite can do whatever amirite? My man, I am more than likely alot older than you. And yes, I got a DUI at 21 years old. And yes, I was young and dumb at the time when I did. Hes 22 years old. Sending him to jail for life and throwing away the key is what I know many of you want just like you wanted for Tae Williams. But I am sympathetic to this kid. Let him do his time, pay up to the family in civil court, and let him move on with his life hoping hes learned a valuable lesson. Maybe he can restart his career in a few years if hes lucky.
And I am absolutely sympathetic to whoever this persons loved ones are too. They will get their justice in legal court and civil court.
So the two to three drinks thing. I am not an authority on this but I do have an observation. I got off the gas about seven years ago. 90% of the time people start to slur after two. I was shocked. I thought I could have sat in as a high court judge after 12! I am by no means claiming this is for everyone but after two, I can hear it hermano.Correct. Local police were conducting an investigation before Massachusetts State Police came in and whitewashed it.
For sure. I expect he will try to settle quickly and will probably try to plea on the criminal side. I hope the family gets paid, but you can't bring back a life.
2-3 drinks? As an athlete of that caliber and at 5'11"? That would be an insanely low tolerance of alcohol. If you're too inebriated to properly operate a car after 2-3 drinks (and presumably the passage of some time), you probably should never drink.
Day 1 firearm safety. Absolutely must check the chamber and magazine for rounds. Do not point a firearm at another person. If he can't tell that it wasn't a prop gun, then that's pretty bad too. He's negligent, and absolutely partially at fault. Lots of people (and the film company) should be liable for their contributory negligence on this one, and Baldwin is one of them.
Good luck to Ruggs....... f*** him!!!!You gotta be kidding me. Smh. ****. RIP and good luck to Ruggs on this. Better get the best lawyer money can buy. Might want to hit up whoever Dante Stallworths lawyer was that got him out of this type of jam.
Well said, though unless you are retired I doubt you are older than me. I do believe in second chances, but to a point. When it involves taking a life I believe in a life for a life. Accidents obviously are a different matter but when you decide to drink and drive you’ve lost that privilege. And while I did stupid stuff when I was young (weed being a minor transgression compared to some of the very retarded **** I got into) once you become an adult that excuse should not fly anymore. Two Bama WRs done with personal issues in less than a couple of days.
ridley Focusing on mental health. This is not a Ridley situation lol. This dude is only gonna be off the field. bc he killed SomeoneWho is the other one? What did I miss?
some can even say he prospered.Didn't affect Ted Kennedy political career.
Having money doesn't make you smart. This is a good example of that.Just wow. Doesn't the NFL have a car service for this exact scenario (not that he needs that with Uber)? I just don't know how ANYONE, let alone millionaires, do this ****.
That is why you plan ahead. I partied like a rockstar but left the car at home. Amazing how I never killed people in the back of an uber or taxi or sober baptist friend’s car.I understand but alcohol also strips you of your better judgment so you unfortunately don't make the appropriate decision under those circumstances.
