Held it

Jarren's quick release is on full display here. This is money. Good RPO design too. Contrary to the IZ bubble variety from last year.

I remember this play. Not having seen Jarren play much, I was really surprised by it, because that was a super quick release.

I’m sure people have noticed it in the scrimmages and practices, but Saturday was the first time I actually got to see his release in person.

"Entirely"? Hardly.

Auburn overcame quarterback mistakes last night and won. Lots of teams did.

Miami loss to Florida was "entirely" based on too many team mistakes.

Jeff Thomas' fumble, Baxa's missed, a hold on a fake field goal—or how about 30 lots yards of field position after getting dinged for unsportsmanlike conduct (Blades' middle fingers) and an illegal block, taking Miami from the UF 25 yards line to their own 45 on that final drive.

Entirely blaming a quarterback who didn't turn the ball over once is completely unfair. Williams didn't step up to win the game for Miami, but he sure as sh*t isn't responsible for losing that game.

Yes there were other things that happened during the course of that game that lost us the game as well, but the QB is the only player on the team with the ball in his hands every drive the entire game so they have more opportunities to win or lose a game.

That was an exceptional quick release IMO

And at least 4 catchable balls that didn't get caught.....

Look at the blocking overall. Campbell stands up his guy, I believe thats our TE that takes on the DE 1 on 1 effectively until Donaldson arrives from his LG spot. Nelson dominates his matchup. The RPO makes the LDE pause for a split second instead of flying upfield because he expects to get double teamed and he is trying to ensure he doesn't get pushed out of the run lane.

A few takeaways- this play showed Miami is more than capable of blocking. The thing that helped is that it forced UF defenders to think, which slowed them down. The PA wasn't working as it UF wasn't biting, but the RPO was working to perfection. I was shocked we didn't use more RPO as it was neutralizing the UF defense. Almost makes me wish Richt was calling plays, which makes me nauseous.

Jarren will learn. But Enos wasn't crazy when he said there were times Jarren held the ball too long. I expect these instances to get cleaned up.

And I am in the process of upping the ball game a bit. I was told I can be a little too technical in print. (So I will explain) And I understand that not everyone has twitter so I made a Youtube account and I will post links through this format. From the Perch will continue in this format as well. Hope you guys enjoy

He didn't hold this one

Some of y’all fans are wild man! I’m not saying that we shouldn’t criticize coaches or players, we absolutely should...

But dang man, is there any nuance at all? Do our QBs have to throw for 400yds and our offense have 1000 yds to be adequate? I’m not trying to make excuses but there really is NO pleasing some fans.

No loss is ever acceptable and we’ve seen our share of some ugly and/or super close (a play or three different and we got a diff story) losses in the recent past, but do we support our guys or do we continue to nitpick and bash guys? Especially after one game (our biggest and rival to be fair) can we wait another game or so to see if anything changes before we run em out of town?

Again, I’m honestly not trying to come with excuses, I just wanna know where do we draw the line and give the regime and players a chance before we kill em? I know some of us (or most) have been jaded but dammit, ima let it go another game or so to see if this is indicative of a bigger problem or more of a one off.

Sorry for the long post. I’m Canes all **** day! I wanna see us do and get better, I’m hoping this regime will bring us to where we wanna be! Thanks and peace and love

This is a Miami Hurricane football board. People here will nitpick and armchair QB all season long. This is the proper place for such things.
It confuses me a bit when people come on a Miami Hurricane football board and try and dictate what should or should not be discussed when it comes to Miami football.

I get what you’re saying, but do you really think this is the appropriate place to be discussing this?

Decent throw but there’s no one near JT! Hit him in stride and he has the potential to go for six EVERY TIME!
