Had we recruited Ice's son...........

Lol you might be partiallly right. And honestly I don't think Chad is as much of a "lock" as people think. Between the middle of November and signing day is when "stuff/people" start coming out of the woodwerx. Ice MIGHT go with Treon up to fsu, who knows. What I do know, is that too many kids have been leaving south Florida and baling out elsewhere. People throw out the "well you can't get everybody" line and "Coker and shannon didn't get everybody" line. Coker and Shannon both got fired. Why would you even use them as an excuse. If anything that shows not getting "almost everyone" sets up a coach for failure and eventual termination.

Who knows how it would have affected the decisions of others...but for what it's worth I always liked Treon. Watching his film I never felt like he was a guy that would have to change positions in college, but was absolutely a good enough athlete to do so. From everything I've read all he was asking for was a chance to compete at QB, which I think FSU has so far granted him. The most glaring initial draw back is his height but I've never had a problem with QBs being shorter if they show the abilityto consistently get the ball out on time and find passing lanes. If you watch Treon it is abundantly clear that the kid has worked his a$$ off to be a fundamentally sound QB...his footwork and throwing mechanics are VERY solid for a HS QB. It's impossible to make any conclusions from watching a highlight film so I can't make any statements on his make up or football IQ. But for the life of me I can't see how we never even looked at a kid like him yet went hard afte a guy like Rosier, just my 2 cents.

That's all I'm saying

Bama and Auburn havent offered Rozier. EVERYBODY wants Treon.........at QB.

But we are on a 52 game win streak and can't afford to have "projects" on our team

I also like Treon a lot - really, a lot. He will be successful somewhere. I just don't think it will be at QB.

I've seen Treon play live twice and was really impressed by him. I agree we should have offered him, even as a "QB".

AT THE ABSOLUTE WORST, come out, battle with the other players for the job and whoever is the best wins the gig. If he doesn't win it, move to DB. That's what I've always thought about this.

STFU with Kirkland, Thomas and the other BS.

Treon would start for us next year at QB

Kaaya looks like he needs to eat a cheeseburger every hour for the next 2 years

Mrs. Harris has spoken.

Is Treon 6'4" and up? No. Does Treon have a rocket launcher as an arm? No.... Then he will NEVER and I mean NEVVVEEEEERRRRRRRRRR play QB for Jimbo Fisher. Mark my words.

And if he does? then what will you do? your words mean nothing.

I just got negged for being positive. I'm going to make a jimmy rustling thread now.

Not sure if serious. You think Treon would start next year at QB? Over a senior, a highly-touted QB who already had a redshirt, and Kaaya? Treon is good, no doubt. But starting next year for us? Not a chance.

For a recruit like this, at a key school for us, I just don't see why you don't recruit him as a QB, and then if and when he fails, you move him to CB or WR and have yourself an elite player at that position. I just don't see the downside as long as he gets a shot at QB. I suppose maybe if the kid doesn't think he gets a fair shake at QB and transfers, you then have a problem on your hands.

Can we stop with the conspiracy theories that Ice Harris has something against Miami, well can we at least stop until Chad Thomas and Nigel Bethel decommit. In case you forgot the two best players at Booker T are still committed to Miami. If Ice is pushing Jackson to Arkansas it is probably because Randy Shannon is his best friend not because Miami did not recruit his son at QB. Going back to last year Krikland we pulled his scholarship, so we decided to move on not the other way around. Matthew Thomas did not want to go to Miami, plan and simple.

Skai Moore can we just have one thread where we all acknowledge the staff f*cked this one up? Or does someone have to bring him up every time the staff doesn't recruit someone?

Finally considering FSU has another QB committed in this class and 2015 QB commit so lets stop pretending that FSU considers Treon Harris their future

yeah, and he eventually gets moved to CB, tells his dad we lied to him, becomes a locker room cancer, his dad goes on talk radio, kid transfers, and then the usual suspects blame the coaching staff...Lets just bring randy back (apologize) and be done with it.....

And people SAID Teddy Bridgewater would probably wind up playing recver or be jacory Harris 2.0 "no big deal". Meanwhile Teddy will be picked the 1st round this year.

You're either trolling hard, or Ice Harris in the flesh.

Kaaya is a great prospect, but I don't see why there wasn't room for Harris in this class. Stupid, imo.

I would have taken Harris over Edourd or Rosier, but I am willing to give the staff the benefit of the doubt when it comes to recruiting.
