Hey those 80's reruns are on You Tube...go spend another 10 hours jerking off to them. Some of us are happy living in 2014 and understand the clusterfark this guy was left with. He'll be here at least 3 to 4 more years with the blessing of the admin.

Yep. They all want Al to stay at UM. That will assure us of never being contenders again.

I mean really, this must be one of those "honorary" awards and not based in reality. Golden has not shown one single friggin example that he knows how to fix his defense. In fact, he stands there as useless as the DC. No idea from week to week how to cover a simple crossing route and yet he gets a coaching award.

Its like when the give the kid who finished last in the race a participation trophy.

Are you saying that Golden is an expert? Cuz he sure hasn't done didly squat about the pathetic defense he fields week after week. Has he taken over and corrected things? No. Has he shown one single ounce of mental acumen for fixing the problems? No. Not one. Has he been able to step in and teach the LB's and DB's how to cover a simple crossing route? No. Has he shown the ability to coach up youngsters to replace the deadweight upper classmen like Highsmith, Rodgers, Gaines, Green? No not at all. Has he been able to teach his OL how to get a first down on 3rd and short? No.

Same problems in year 3 as there were in game 1 of year 1. I have more actual, factual evidence to support my case that he is putz with no nutz than any Golden fanboy club member does.

So I don't have to be an expert to recognize failure. Its as clear as the ****** on your forehead.
 
This award should be called the "Hang in There!" award.

That's all he did. Get paid $2.5M to coach at the University of Miami. Because he's definitely done nothing excellent on the field.
 
Struggling in recruiting with a top 5 class. Hope we struggle every year.

No, the experts are the other coaches who actually know what is involved in coaching and recruiting, and the difficulties that Golden pushed through. You may be a fanatic, but that doesn't mean you know anything.

New and refreshing outlook, negativity is getting old and stale, let's not forget where we were and debate where we are going. I don't think "newbies" or most any other poster is fond of the scheme in view of the talent or lack of it.

Hey man I would be in 100% if our coaching staff approached things with a new and refreshing game plan. But we have heard how teams know what we are doing and there is no creativity or efforts to change up. We aren't getting by with elite talent and now after 3 years it is very clear, without any shred of doubt that the staff(Golden) aren't X's and O's gurus either. That sucks. That's why teams move the ball at will against us. Abuse us like pimple faced peg legged rejects.

But some ***** in here blame the fans, as if it was us who are calling the same washed up plays and coaching up the same washed up players each week. Since when is it my fault that Golden can't coach? Why am I to blame for his mediocrity? I was here before him and I'll be here after he leaves. Coaching TE's at New Mexico St.

I am not going to defend the schemes or assistant coaches, they need to be changed, but I am a believer that we are making our way out of a big hole for the past 10 years, whether coaching, recruiting, NCAA or otherwise are or were the issues, challenges, problems or failures. I do believe the ship is going in the right direction and yes changes need to and hopefully will be implemented after the season.

Personally, I think Golden is a very smart guy, good CEO and is respected by his players, the university, coaching community and for the most part the current fan base. Under the circumstances, I am a supporter of his, but the clock is now beginning to tick because what preceded him was not his making or his fault, now it's on him.

I believe under the circumstances, a new, refreshing and positive attitude towards actions that hopefully will lead the betterment of the program we all love and support. Negativity is getting old and stale. Let's not forget where we were, and definitely debate where we are going and how we get there.

I don't think "newbies" or most any other poster is fond of the schemes in view of the talent or lack of it, whatever the reasons or excuses are or were. I hear you on the changes, agree but do not expect them to actually see them until next season.
