If your qualified apply for the job and make the changes you feel are needed. If that is not an option then you have no options to change a thing. How do you like those apples?

No excuses for losing to Duke. And yes, if we get absolutely destroyed by Louisville (like some people are predicting) he needs to fire somebody on the staff to send a message. But this is a great honor and im proud of the guy. Dont know what the **** this means but its a positive for us.

Al, would you please fire your friend and DC because i don't like him and have no other option than to kiss your *** and beg you. I am not qualified to have your job,i did not put in the time or sacrifice enough to do what i am truly passionate about like you did but i think i know more about the team than you do and no one will give me a chance. I feel so helpless.

The award is given by the Rotary Club of Houston.

The voting electorate is made up of the head coaches from all Division I schools, sports media personnel from across the country and former winners and finalists of the Rotary Lombardi Award. Currently the total number of voters is approximately 500.

In other words, a collective of people who know a **** of a lot more about football and coaching than do the "experts" on this board that constantly trash Golden.

False analogy. The only appropriate analogy would be to compare previous winners of the same award. Additionally, there is no claim that the award is indicative of current or future success.

I feel like this is bad for the program as a whole and definitely something to overreact about

Lombardi is tyurning over in his grave! "They give trophies for finishing third in the Coastal? What in the **** is going on?"

..Aaand Obama won the Nobel. Golden could win all the awards in the world, idgaf. Fact is he has yet to prove that he is 'The Guy' here, who can win and restore Miami to greatness.

Al, I would like to be your friend and BFF because i don't have any real friends that let me kiss their *** and beg to have anal rompings with.. I am more than qualified to give you a rim job,i put in the time or sacrifice my lips to do what i am truly passionate about. I really like you did but i think i know more about the homosex than you do and no one will give me a chance. I feel so helpless.

Really the "experts" are other coaches that don't watch cane football or follow our recruiting and team development because they have their own teams to run know more than the fanatics on this board? Dude you are one of the most clueless posters on this board.

No, the experts are the other coaches who actually know what is involved in coaching and recruiting, and the difficulties that Golden pushed through. You may be a fanatic, but that doesn't mean you know anything.

Yep. They all want Al to stay at UM. That will assure us of never being contenders again.

I mean really, this must be one of those "honorary" awards and not based in reality. Golden has not shown one single friggin example that he knows how to fix his defense. In fact, he stands there as useless as the DC. No idea from week to week how to cover a simple crossing route and yet he gets a coaching award.

Its like when the give the kid who finished last in the race a participation trophy.

Ah yes, another "super fan" who knows more than all of the experts.

It doesn't matter how we or the media sees things, it matters how recruits, the players and the admin see things.

You may want him gone, which no one of any relevance would consider doing (given the NCAA mess), but it doesn't matter for next year. You can choose to not donate, voice your opinion on a message board (most irrelevant thing you can do), not renew your season tix or contact the school...but don't expect the people of relevance to agree with your opinions.

Sorry

Some aren't going to be happy until they get a Soviet style "show trial" where Golden stands up and admits crimes against the program.
