3 straight top 20 recruiting classes, and an improved record each year, with a chance to win 10 games while having one of the biggest NCAA investigations clouding over the program for three years. Good thinking though, none of that deserves recognition... You're right, you should probably join the committee that makes the decision on who receives the award! GO YOU!!!

I didn't run. What else do you want me to say? We have seen 3 years of Golden failing to fix the same issues on defense. That's more than enough time to show some tangible proof of improvement. I back my statements with facts. So far, all of Al's fanboys offer are " I think he is the right guy" "I have faith in Al" etc etc.

All I can do is make judgement on what I see. We are not a very well coached team. We are not creative on either side of the ball. After 3 years, what is our identity? Can you describe it? No. Nobody can. Helter-Skelter is the best I can come up with.

Look, I want him to succeed. i want him or whoever is coaching UM to be the best. I wanted Coker to be great, I wanted Shannon to be great and I wanted Golden to be great. But they weren't and he isn't. Not my fault so not sure why you and other excuse makers and defenders get all upset. Be upset with him that Duke spanked us.

Is the highlighted part mopery? I guess truth telling is mopery when the receiving end can't digest it. I don't know what else to say. If you are happy with a 3rd place finish in a weak *** division, good for you. You are the exact type of fan Shalala is counting on. "Yea, we finished with 9 maybe 10 wins" Yea!!!!!

If I saw any evidence,any at all that Golden knew how to fix the problems, I would stay on board with him. But again, I ask, just what has he done in direct terms of fixing that putrid defense? Nothing. You can't point to anything because there is nothing to say "hold on, this is getting better".

I personally hoped he could win here. Just like I hoped Randy could. Just like I hoped Coker could. Every coach, ocne hired, deserves a fair amount of time to prove if they can get the job done, and time to clean up the mess the fired coach left them. He got his time, just like the last two. He failed and was fired. Time to move the **** on. For once we have a coach that 99% of Cane Nation approves of, and are united behind, and super fans want to bring up the past to cause a ****ing match? For the love of Jose Canseco's missing finger, let it die already.

I'm not sure about him getting enough time here. I truly think he needed one more year for his master plan to come together.

Still shocked he survived after 2014. What a huge blessing he did, though, because had he been fired after the 2014 season, we go straight to the bargain basement and grab another Shalala special before she hit the door.

He had a fair amount of time to get the program headed the right direction, and he failed. Time for everyone to forget his name now.

I disagree. While he did have five years of underwhelming performances, most of that can be blamed on the Cloud. I mean the guy had to deal with so much uncertainly, it's a miracle we won as many games as we did!

One more year and Al would've had us playing in a New Year's Six Bowl, maybe even the playoff.

Lots of tragic accidents would have to befall 60+ teams for us to make a playoff with him here. I'm talking Marshall style.

You're vastly underestimating Al's coaching acumen.

He won the Lombardi trophy for christsakes! He's one of the best out there and he is dearly missed in Coral Gables.
 
Ive said it before....Al Golden could not get laid at the ****** bunny ranch. guy is a perpetual loser and will never win ****.

Glad he is not our HC and that he will continue his losing tradition in Detroit
