Gerald Willis

That cat was supposedly a problem at UF. He won't last here either. We get rid of kids with the quickness. He'll never see 2016 imo.

Agree with u 100%. Major issues with him. will end up at a directional Louisiana school before it is all over with.

He just has to make it through next season. After that, he will have a fresh start with a new staff. That, and live off campus.

You do realize he was a true freshman at UF right? Dude couldn't make it 4 months in Gainesville but you think he's going to make it over a year here?

I say he doesn't make the end of summer. But maybe being in Miami slows his *** down.

You never know. He's a city kid. From the hood IIRC. Kid like that dropped into a cowtown like Gainesville, alone and left to his own devices as an 18 year old for the first time, would not be the first time a kid like that gets out of hand and goes wild.

He could obviously come to MIami and it will either get 5 times worse, in which case he wont last the summer, or he will fit in better in Miami, maybe with some guys he relates with better, and be able to do his thing, and mature.

Some kids are not cut out for small town College-town life, especially in bumble**** no where, when all there is to do is drink, party, and chase young poon. Being in Miami offers all that x10, but it also could offer a real world type environment for the kid, a place where you "get down to businesses".

Bottom line is, we just don't know. He may well be a head case that wont last anywhere, or he could be one of those city kids that was just a bad fit in a college town, away from home for the first time, and went wild, but can settle down and get it together with some peeps he can relate to, and a new place more his speed.

I'll just say Chatman and Willis may be more important for this upcoming cycle. They know how things work in Louisiana and Louisiana is loaded this year from top to bottom, I recently made a list of athletes with little to none offers and word is Bama is gaining interest on a couple I posted about with no offers. Hopefully Willis can stay focus and help us bring some guys in. If teams are smart I would attack Louisiana this year cause it seems they are narrowing in on certain players which we all know from Al's mistakes is the wrong thing to do.

I'm sorry, but we definitely need a hot head like this in the locker room and on the field. Welcome aboard :)

Al Golden said he did 'good background check' on transfer Gerald Willis from Fla. Must not have dug too deep. Kid's a human red flag.

lulz….

This reminds me of the late Derrick Griffin signing from last year.

This. I wanna get excited but I have a feeling clearinghouse will **** it up somehow

I'm not concerned with the Clearinghouse. This dude was in trouble the whole time he was at ufayg. They don't even kick murderers out of that shythole, so imagine what a maniac this dude must be.
I wanna have this win and not be negative but dammit we've been then thru this before with those two DEs last year. What were their names? The two from Nebraska and Oklahoma State?

Gotta disagree. Don't underestimate what a corch with a diminished buyout is willing to put up with when he gets desperate. I think he lasts at least the time he has to sit out as Alfredo suffers through some delusion of grandeur that he too will last beyond next season.

I don't even think it's being negative. It's just playing the odds. And the odds are that a leopard won't change his spots overnight.

Aaron Hernandez was shooting guys in the face at ufayg and didn't get kicked out. What was this dude doing that got him booted?

Great pickup at a position of great need.
Congrats to Dobard and whomever made this happen!
Will spare more negativity as this is incredible news. As has been noted a DLine of Thomas, AQM, Willis and Moten/Jenkins/whomever may be the best we have had in here since the early 2000's!

This is great news no matter how you slice it.
