I have had gator fans tell me, with a straight face, dead seriously, that if they had played us that year they would have beaten us. Which in and of itself is a laughable delusion, but it doesn’t take into account that it was mostly the same team that destroyed the gators the year prior in the sugar bowl. Oh yeah, they also destroyed the gators, in Gainesville, the following year. So the idea that the 2001 gators would’ve been competitive with our 2001 team is laughable when the claim is broken down. @5Rangz, I would be interested to know if there are any similar delusions that the gator fan base makes fun of our fan base for holding? I’m talking strictly football.

Someone else mentioned this yesterday and its oh so true. What a lot of porsters from other schools (especially the gator) dont appreciate is the incredible humor and parody that goes on here. @RVACane commentary on the the gator porsts is priceless, @Baba Yaga and @PIPO memes/gifs, the endless dry humor, nicknames, parodies, etc. This thread is for us to have a great time laughing at a "rival" who has incredible delusions of grandeur and is afraid to play us, and its oh so much fun!!!!!

That’s why I’m indifferent if we land him or not after listening and watching some people who know football break down his game a little bit. If we get him great!! he’s not gonna start right away and needs to be developed. I’m totally ok with not having a true fresh QB start for us again.

If that is happening the 1 of 2 things are happened. Our depth absolutely sucks and that’s not good or the kid is a generational talent that is ready to play immediately.

- FSU. You're the most annoying fan base in the country, but you're more fun to ogle at, like an exotic animal at the zoo or a bearded lady at a freak show, than to hate as a rivalry. Most UF fans will rank our rivalry as 4th-5th in importance after UGA/FSU, LSU, and/or Tennessee.

What do you want me to tell you dude? Since 2005-06, the program went down hill. Not gonna rehash why it happened but that’s when da gata went ahead as we had to lose 10 out of 11 for da gata to get the bowl win advantage. Congrats!!

Bowl record after 2006: 1-10 (I mean, we sucked, lol).
Bowl record prior to 2006: 18-13 (5* National Championships). Not to mention all the Championship opportunities that Miami denied the Semenholes.

First bowl game was in 1912, lol.

Da gata since 05-06: 10-5 (2 National Championships).

You did lose your last bowl game, however you want to spin it, to your version of Miami Dade College in Orlando and your little brothers, UCF!!

Miami vs da gata in bowl games: 2-0 (2000 & 2004) including an a$$ whooping on Bourbon Street, so it’s really 3-0.

Da Gata as a matter of fact hasn’t beaten any version of Miami as they lost the Citrus Bowl in 1973 to the fake Miami (Miami of Ohio), 16-7.
