That’s not the only reason, but it does tarnish our win. Once again we’ve embarrassed ourselves by being glad about a victory. Will we never learn? They take much more than 10% off the top.

But you're right profits are split after Chick-fil-A Inc gets their cut. That's the cost of not having to front any capital. No equity and a very large "franchise fee" every month.

But one major lesser known benefit is that the operator has almost no major capital expenses over the course of their career. All major equipment, facility, and property investments are paid for by Chick-fil-A Inc.
