This might be one of the most ridiculous tweets I've ever seen.
The guy is a fraud. He would have you believe that it takes a week or more to "vet" assistant coaches. DOZENS of assistant coaches. Because Chip just can't hire who he wants, he needs DOZENS of pre-vetted candidates. And what is there to vet? Assistants come and go, as long as they don't have a show-cause like Kelly had, there is nothing of value to "vet". This idiot would have you believe that UF is running credit checks on all these US Vice Presidential, whoops, assistant coaching candidates.
As for the nonsense about Chip signing some sort of non-binding voidable "agreement" while his agent is on a plane to the west coast, it's just laughable. What terms could POSSIBLY be in a non-binding voidable "agreement" that would not later be in a binding non-voidable contract? Is the UF administration so squirrely that Chip would need a non-binding voidable "agreement" to lock UF into contractual terms?
It's just so ridiculous. The guy just kissed his professional reputation goodbye by posting that nonsense.
And, for the record, I am NOT saying that Kelly won't sign with UF, just that the claims of non-binding voidable "agreements" and massive vetting of DOZENS of assistant coach candidates is not believable.
To this I would point out to you the debacle at Notre Dame that forced George O'Leary to resign for inaccuracies on his resume. Also, there was that USF basketball coach who said he had a degree when he didn't.
While I won't speculate exactly how long asst coach vetting takes or whether some candidates are "pre-vetted," I will say that some kind of background research is needed.
Gaytor fans will probably be on suicide watch. What Blake and Luke are doing to them is criminal. every day is just made up stuff. I mean ****, the decision could come on Thursday at 305pm or maybe Friday at 11.29am.. They don’t know a **** thing. They are just throwing **** up against a wall and hoping something is true so people wont cancel their subscriptions.
Yea it seems like their vetting needs a lot of work..they did a great job of vetting McSharkfcker didn’t they to know he sucked and that he would tuck and run when things got tough.

Look, you Gator troll, you are trying to rebut by using a HEAD COACH who lied on his resume.
Oh, by the way, how much "vetting" did you do on Randy Shannon before you hired him as your assistant coach? Did you discover all of his negative comments about UF?
Again, there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO "vetting of dozens of assistant coaching candidates" going on right now at UF. It simply isn't happening. It's a lie.

Don't get your panties up in a bunch. My post had nothing to do with the gators. Was just pointing something out historical evidence where universities screwed up by not vetting candidates more closely. And to your point about head coaches vs assistants--don't you think my point is made stronger with the fact that it was a head coach. You'd think a university would properly vet a head coach. Imagine if a head coach is hired and hires his staff only to find out 6 months in that his WR coach (or whomever) does not have a degree. Guess what all those relationships built with players/recruits/admin was for nothing.
I have no doubt we will closely vet candidates for our 10th asst. in the coming months.
Nothing to do with my hurricane fandom, just pure common sense. If you don't understand that then there's nothing I can do for you.
LOL how have they not banned you yet? You're doing the Lord's work
