Think about this. Not only do they not have a capable QB on the roster coming out of spring, but they now have to bet the franchise on finding a guy in the portal who will want to come join a losing program, depend on him missing all of spring, landing in the summer, learning the playbook, and being ready to compete against @Utah and against Tennessee which are 2 of their first 3 games.

Furthermore they are already handing the 2024 keys to a true freshman, Langway, who hasn't even signed yet, a kid who we've statistically shown has barely a 30% chance of contributing meaningfully at UF. Contributing meaningfully at UF EVER, let alone being competent as a true freshman QB. Enjoy opening against Miami, kid. Should be low-key.

And it's not like he's going to be surrounded with elite talent, either. That true freshman will have to play against at least four teams that out-recruited Billy this past cycle (UGA in Jax, LSU, Miami, @Tennessee), in addition to USCe who finished just two spots behind them in the 2023 recruiting rankings, @Utah and @FSU who both finished in the final AP top 11 this year, as well as UK and @Vanderbilt who both just beat Billy. They also have to go @AUB. Thats EIGHT (8) games that could be a problem for UF, if you count Sanford, Missouri (who UF beat by one score this year at home) and UCF (who beat UF by 12 in 2021) as easy wins.

@flagator86 remind us what Billy's buyout is again?

They said it’s nothing, he’s just watching his friends. Some said it’s a bad look and they’d clown us if the reverse happened.

I don’t think it’s a bad look for him…he prob did want to watch his friends that he grew up with….Now for them yeah because of how bad their offense looked the other night… in this day of transferring etc and him being once committed here yeah I would be concerned if the “shoe” was on the other foot. 😉
