You can bash Rumph and and Banda for recruiting all you want but our defensive backfield is full of former 4 star recruits down the depth chart. The only highly rated recruit you could possibly credit Kul for was Nesta. Miller and GR (who kul didn’t want) were projects. Ford and Garvin were three star local kids. Solid but hardly huge gets. Also taking the DC position at Toledo is a huge downgrade from DL at Alabama. I guarantee he took a pay cut. Maybe there’s a reason he was stuck at Missouri for all those years.

Exactly. This guy is a good coach that's why he has a kib. On the other hand the quality of job he's at for his body of work puts his greatness under question.

Simpson is an assistant defensive line coach for the Falcons. Good for him. All he does his make sure the lineman are stay hydrated during practice. He was a below average coach at Miami. He screwed Joe Jackson, Garvin, Bethel and Nesta Silveras development. Joe Jackson went from a projected first rounder to a 5th round pick. Garvin went from a projected first round pick to likely going undrafted. The defensive line was not dominant in 2018.

Look I understand, you are upset that coach Kul left for Bama after a great year in 2017. I was upset when he left as well. I still wish he was here. Our defense line in 2018 and 2019 could have been unreal.

Warren Sapp was a TE, what other recruits changed position and were so successful...Winston is another as was DJ Williams as RB but he went back to LB.
