F''k It.. Ban me for another year

Jesus…..

Leach has been coaching for 21 yrs; he’s won 10+ games 2x in his entire career. His avg. win/season is 7-5.

On my mama, this board is obsessed w/ 7-5 coaches. I can accept the Kiffin obsession, but Leach? Who’s currently 17-16 at MSU?

Why r u folks infatuated w/ 7-5? Exciting offense, bro.
7-5 sounds good right now

Some on CIS are impressed with personalities…

98% of the posts on this board right now are complaining about the admin making bad hires, but the answer is the **** pirate? Make it make sense. I agree the guy would have an exciting offense here. He can’t recruit and is usually just over .500. That’s not the kind of coach I want.
The answer is ALWAYS the Pirate!

Oh dear... what would happen if somebody didn't kiss the *** of these sacred Sfla "kids"
The only people who don't realize several other areas around the country have caught up to SoFL are SoFL athletes and their handlers.

Uncle Puke would make sure Leach would never get a local recruit again if he started pulling that chair stunt on Miami kids. ****, he's already putting stuff out there that Miami has no "inner city" kids and that's why we are struggling. Thankfully, we didn't slow play Ray Ray cuz he'd be griping about all season

It might be bc 7-5 is better than 4-8

Considering where he has coached(Texas Tech, Washington State and Mississippi St) Then also considering what he inherited at each spot and that he was able to turn each program around, I would say he a **** good coach.

Revisionist history.

He hasn't turned anything around at Mississippi State. They were 79-51 in the 10 years before Leach got there. 14-12 in the two years before he got there. He is 17-16 and is a sure bet to finish 1-2 with Georgia and Ole Miss on the schedule. He's a .500 coach at a 8-5 program.

Same at Texas Tech. He had one season where everything came together. And that was in year 9. Otherwise we was a 5-loss coach, just like Spike Dykes before him.

And the exact same at Wazzu. It all came together once. In year 7. In year 8 he went 6-7.

People like to post about how many points he would score while forgetting that he gets shut down four or five times a year. Like someone else said, if you want a lot of passing and 7 wins, he's your guy.

If Mike Leach had actually accomplished 1/10th of what is claimed on this board, he would have had more opportunities than Washington State and Mississippi State by age 61.

You expect consistent 10 win seasons at TT and WSU? It's WSU, you are going to have 6-7 seasons. Look at Dennis Erickson's record outside of Miami. He didn't do much better. What was Jimmy Johnsons record at Oklahoma St? It wasnt that great. Regardless of what you say I think he is doing a very solid job at MSU. That's one tough schedule. The guy can coach. I think that is quite obvious. Not going to sit here and argue this all day either. You have your take and I have mine.

I didn't say I expect anything. But you did say that he always turns programs around, and that isn't true. If he wasn't funny in press conferences and had a .595 career winning percentage with a traditional offense, no one would ever bring him up.

Patience...

It's more of a rebuild than many of us anticipated and we've been exposed by the superficial depth, but Mario hasn't flinched and he's recruiting his *** off. Evaluations, recruiting, and player development will make or break his tenure.

Everything else is falling into place and it will only be a matter of time.
Preach!

Fair enough but what I meant is that the guy is able to get consistently good results at programs that are very tough to win at. He is able to overachieve at programs that aren't exactly known for winning football.
