Final Four matchups set

Auburn and not surprisingly it was their closest game of the year.

Florida, Bama @ UGA are all 3-4 defenses and their fronts are overrated this year

SEC overall is overrated this year

Watch the NFL draft and you will see, again, the SEC has the most players drafted.....watch over the next couple of drafts and see how many come from those schools, an in particular, those defenses. Your UM/ACC glasses are very foggy.

I think there are quite a few of us who believe that Clemson’s weak schedule doesn’t matter. Sunshine and his WRs can turn it on whenever they need to and dispose of the competition. See last year’s title game, for example.

I’m not saying it’s a lock for them to win it, but I am saying there isn’t any logical reason to doubt them at this point.

This is ridiculous. Clemson is the defending CHAMPION, has by far the best QB, has won every game and only 1 was close.

Clemson beat two SEC teams. It beat S. Carolina (common foe) by much more than Alabama and Florida, and UGA outright LOST to SCar. Just in case you are paying attention, NC beat SCar. So a bad ACC team (NC) beat a SEC team that beat UGA and played UF close. Surprising? Clemson also beat A&M handily. Moreso than Auburn and UgA did. And held them to much fewer points than Alabama did. (Not moreso than LSU did.)

Clemson had one close call all year. UM’s great ‘01 team had a close call also.

The hard matchup is OSU, honestly. Clemson will beat LSU in all likelihood if they play. But OSU is in the range of a 50/50 proposition.

Posters run around on here complaining that Bama played nobody this year, all the while forgetting they played LSU and Auburn.....Clemson played nobody worth a sht this year. **** near lost to UNC.

LSU played Bama, Auburn, UF and UGA, beat them all. As of today, Clemson has beaten nobody currently ranked in the top 25. You do the math.

Clemson is a **** good team, but they play nobody. Their schedule is about as weak as it can get for a team that plays in P5 conference.

Can Orgeron’s assistants save him from himself in a tight playoff game when the pressure is on?

Ryan Day looked like he was about to call Urban Meyer’s ambulance in the 2nd quarter vs Wisconsin Saturday night.

We’ve already seen Oklahoma’s defense(?) in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Clemson has won two out of the last 3 playoffs, they have the best QB and are loaded at WR. Don’t worry about their weak schedule.

I don't get it. Clemson crushed the gods of football last year and probably ended Satan reign of terror, is defending NC and still hasn't loss a game yet gets bounced down to 3rd? Reminds me of the year after we bet nole and won NC yet they are preseason No 1 in polls? Good thing they did that music video before the Miami game, cause it was their only chance to do it. Wonder if Dabo will mention the disrespect.

Yeah a couple guys in the OHIO St room didn't look happy to be number 2. Then they saw the camera on them and everyone started clapping. Like, oh yeah, we're happy. Hahahahaha. Losers
Are they really losers if they are in the playoffs? Come on now.

so you credit LSU for beating UGA. Clemson pounded SC, which — get this — beat UGA.

Youre just repeating circular logic based on the cross-referenced overrating of the SEC. Lets talk about what we really know. Last year’s Alabama team was much better than this year’s Alabama team, which LSU beat by a TD. Last I checked, Clemson pounded last year’s Alabama team, and has not lost to anyone since. You hype Auburn. Last time that happened they lost to UCF!

Maybe the SEC is just overrated.

LSU/OU...Take the over and OU.
The line will be inflated.

You can thank me later.

EDIT:
OU +13 1/2??
U/O 76???

So what? That sure didn't matter last year.

Maybe you should learn some old fashioned reading comprehension. This is about who deserves to be ranked where, in the final four.

Even though Clemson may very well win it all again, there's no doubt that both LSU and Ohio St deserve to be ranked above Clemson at this point. The difference in those three teams is fairly slim, at least as it appears, HOWEVER, because of the schedules of both LSU and OS, they earned that rankings much more than Clemson would have.

Clemson was very fortunate last year to draw the ND matchup even though most everybody agreed that Oklahoma was the better team.

Furthermore, Clemson is in a position to rest their starters more often during the year because of their lackluster schedule. By theory, they are better rested and probably healthier when the playoffs come. There is no disputing the quality of their schedule compared to the two teams ranked ahead of them in the playoffs. There's no doubt they have a distinct advantage over the SEC and Big 10 when it comes to schedules and the quality of those schedules.

This will end up being the driving force behind Dabo leaving Clemson and taking the Bama job when it opens. He will want to prove that he is good enough to navigate his team through a tougher conference schedule and then winning the final four matchups. If you don't think so, just go look at his reactions when his schedule is brought up as a huge advantage for his team.

Actually, no one is questioning the seeding. Everyone knew Clemson would be #2 or #3, which literally makes no difference. Everyone, including you, is talking about who the best teams are. If you're going to play the antiquated "reading comprehension" card, at least read the thread first before doing more shilling for the SEC.

Ah, the "more rested for the playoffs" bit. Serious football fans don't bring up silly fan boy arguments like that.

Are you suggesting that Alabama was too tired last year to compete?

This is comical, but predictable:

"Clemson isn't as good as SEC teams!!!"

Oh, really? Why did they beat the &^%$ out of Alabama last year?

"Uh, because Clemson had more rest!"
