Fan support for Cristobal?

Mario’s problem is role creep... if he just sticks to what he is good at and hires the best for other stuff, he will outdo Satan at Alabama.
But he can't help himself... sticks his nose in things he doesn't need to.

JJ used to say that his recipe for success as a leader or an HC was "to hire the best people as he could and stay the he11 out of their way."

Our fan base is passionate & cares deeply due to success of 1980’s -early 2000’s. Unfortunately we fail to use our logic when looking at our records for the last 20 years & expect a quick turnaround. We use the 1% as the expectation. I’m 1000% not satisfied but I’m appreciative that we are trending upwards on the field as well as infrastructure… but still I want a natty in the next 5 years lol

I have my gripes with Mario as a gameday coach and have my own questions about what his true ceiling is. With that said, it's clear some of you don't remember just how bad things were before Mario. If he goes, kiss that top tier NIL program and donor backing goodbye. With what he have had to endure, being a perennial 9-11 win program with a few playoff appearances sprinkled in doesn't sound so bad lol.

Mario is a dolt, but it’d be a 1/25 at best roll of dice that out next coach could even accomplish what he has here.

It’d be a 1st time HC that’s a coordinator and he’d get 1/4 of the NIL support that Mario is currently getting. The chances of that working out are very slim. He isn’t going anywhere and if we win 10 games this year, he’ll probably get a ******* extension. Accept it and hope that we can somehow get even much more talent in here and hit on another Cam Ward miracle, that’s all we got 🤷🏾‍♂️.

I am not saying Mario is perfect. But I do think he deserves some credit for his willingness to adapt. Many coaches would have kept Guidry and called it a bad year. He fired him. Many coaches would have stuck with an offense that didn't work, Mario kicked Gattis to the curb and hired Dawson immediately. Many coaches would have relied on recruiting efforts and players in the building. Mario went out and hit a home run in the portal.

I think one thing that sets him apart from many other coaches is his willingness to embrace the new era of college football. We embraced the portal before most and it made a difference. He was a ready for the change and as a result, we were ahead of the curve instead of behind it (sup Clemson)

Lastly, this season in particular, Mario is a victim of his own success. If you asked before the season if we could skip the first six games and take these results, I am taking them 100 times out of 100. But once we started 5-0, the fanbase started pretending this team was supposed to be something it never was.

If he loses 2-3 more games that he shouldn't, okay, we can revisit his success here. But for now, I don't know how you can possibly be upset at where we are at today compared to where we were 3-4-5 years ago.

Could Jedd Fisch (who's ******) have the opportunity and ability to "fundraise" in his community the same way (I'm assuming) CMC has done in the Cuban community?
I wouldn’t bet it. I’m not a fan of the guys coaching abilities but he’s going to bring the money to the table.
