i dont think hes top 10. hes got a top 10 team for sure.

hes a good talent builder and program builder for the most part (aside from the glaring OC/DC hiring and firings).

theyre getting lane imo.

mario needs to win big this year bc when UF gets lane and FSU eventually fires Norvell, the state will be much harder to plow through than it was the last few years.

This is so ridiculous. Imagine if Butch Davis was the head coach now during these moronic times and his résumé at Miami looked like this ! We would’ve asked for his head after season three.

I think those are two different lists. The best x and o guys are often weird recluses who could never be in charge of a whole football program.

The best program builders are rarely x and o geniuses. They're alpha males who are just way more organized than everyone else.

i love the fans in here saying were ungrateful when we underperformed last year with the best offense in america by a mile and the number 1 pick in the draft and had to fire our second DC in 3 years. the expectations when you sign mario to that deal were to be in the ACCCG within the first 3 seasons with the amount of money we gave him for roster/coaching upgrades.
 
The problem is.. the ppl running the school are all his homeboys.

He’s not going anywhere unless we keep going under .500.

Why I always laugh at posters saying fire him or he needs to go. Can’t see it happening.

9 to 11 wins a year.. basically means he’ll retire as Canes HC when he’s ready

Oh, they did. Ask @k9cane and CanesForever. Those dudes hated Butch so much that they literally tried to say that Pete Garcia was the mastermind behind any success that Butch had.

their boosters basically forced this firing asap.

theyre throwing money at a proven coach this time around. they could flop with lane, but hes a good coach and while hes not the best and most avid recruiter, that makes no diff now. money is the only thing that matters in recruiting.
 
Cristobal pros:
-recruiting
-program builder/manager
-generating resources $$$

Cristobal cons:
-gameday coaching/decision making
-overall stubbornness

The pros will have Miami at 10-2 or 9-3 annually and competing for ACC Championships/playoff spots.

The cons will prevent Miami from dominating the conference and going far in the playoffs. He will get outcoached every time and we'll only advance on a talent advantage.
