I don’t understand why no one wants to believe that it’s the system more than the players. The difference is a very good to elite QB in this system takes it to the #1 offense in the country. Insert any slot WR in a Dawson offense and he is going for 1,000, it’s just the way the offense is designed. So TVD elevated George and Restrepo?
He made Mallory a 500+ yard TE?
George/Restrepo 2023 = 1,956 yards 14 TDs
George/Restrepo 2024 = 1,879 yards 19 TDs

Not that he is dropping the ball. He is not a polished round runner and KB demands excellent round running from his receivers.Keelan Marion Like he’s dropping the ball ? If that’s the case they should show him to the bench and let the younger kids who can catch take his reps . Like I said about the lbs we have to much young talent to let some pachyderm wr play . The best needs to play regarless. Move people around to get your best players on the field
Listen I am not a George fan but to call him a JAG is laughableyea our WRs last year were jag central
but elite qbs take jags and make them look like studs ala brady
thats essentially what cam did
and thats what makes him the first overall pick bc he elevates jags to be better
talent wise our WRs are better this year but is Beck an elevator of Jags thats the question
Wider OL splits or gtfoI don’t understand why no one wants to believe that it’s the system more than the players. I see really similar game plans. Should be interesting. I could really see both teams try to stack the box and see if their secondary can hold up.
That can be worked on , dropping the ball is why people are dbs instead or WR lolNot that he is dropping the ball. He is not a polished round runner and KB demands excellent round running from his receivers.
He's going to be great in the return game anything more than that is gravyIf Marion just gives us some juice on kick returns he’ll be worth the roster spot. I imagine the staff is hoping he shows enough at WR to be a factor there because we just don’t have a lot of ideal speed/explosion at the position as you’d like to see. But if he doesn’t show much in practice I don’t think they’ll try to force him on the field. I have pretty low expectations from him on receiving production.

thats my guy Hey Max.Appreciate the write up
I like Bauman a lot. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Mallory type production
I’m sure @gogeta4 likes the Buchanan bit. He was a big fan IIRC
So with TVD 2.0 and now even better receivers, no excuses right???So TVD elevated George and Restrepo?

We really don’t run those plays lol it would be a nice change up thoughAnd reverses/jet sweeps.
That's a tough bar to clear. I think he will play, though. Very smart.

been waiting to hear that they are getting extra work in as a unit but haven’t seen it reported anywhere. Not saying it’s not going on but I distinctly remember it being reported with cam and receivers after practiceHate to say it but this is where spring practice would've been beneficial for Carson and the receivers to develop that chemistry instead of trying to do so in fall camp. I hope they're taking the time out in the evenings to come together and talk about in the film room. It takes repetition and constant dialogue to get that chemistry flowing.
During a few of the interviews during ACC media day, Beck discussed several times about player-led workouts and how he did extra work with the WRs. Also, let's stop lying to ourselves, it's not like we were constantly hearing about Cam working out with Wrs this time last year. That stuff is kept quiet for a reason. The majority of the stories about Cam's work ethic came out after the season when he was preparing for the draft- which is intentionalbeen waiting to hear that they are getting extra work in as a unit but haven’t seen it reported anywhere.
