Fall Practice #7 Instant thoughts

It’s just health. Also the step up in competition really you have to look at the Liberty stats because the injury and the jump to SEC at LSU he obviously wasn’t super effective.
I don't think it was the step up in competition as much as it was not being fully healthy and being the 4th option in an offense that had a NFL WR (RIP) and TE and a dynamic slot in Aaron Anderson who caught over 60 balls and will be a top 3-5 receiver in the SEC this year.

Some of the wr's showing their inexperience I see. Hopefully its an improve over course of year with reps type of thing. But I like the positivity regarding Beck, OL, and rb's.

There's enough there between QB/OL/RB/TE to have a top 25-30 offense, even if a true outside guy doesn't step up. We won't be scoring 40 a game but we shouldn't have to given the improvements on defense.

I have thought this for a long time. It's good to see someone else validate porster's confirmation biases.

I’m certainly not sleeping on him but he’s really the lone outside guy I trust right now and it’s not like he set the world on fire at LSU last year either.

Jojo has a ton of talent but seems to have been blessed with Stacy Coley durability genes.
He was injured last year at LSU. So let’s not forget that.

And I think if I was forced to pick better WR or better CB play for a Dawson offense I likely go CB... I mean George, X, Sam Brown all had show out years... Brown was waived by the packers and didnt even make the 90 man roster, X is fighting for his life for a practice squad role on a team that largely has **** WRs (plus no doubt Cam vouched for him) and George may make the Panthers as a reserve. The league says these guys were not great but Dawson got production I am hoping the young WRs can slide in and replicate that
I am of the opinion that the WR room will be better than expected. The weapons we have at TE are a must this year though.

yea our WRs last year were jag central
but elite qbs take jags and make them look like studs ala brady
thats essentially what cam did
and thats what makes him the first overall pick bc he elevates jags to be better
talent wise our WRs are better this year but is Beck an elevator of Jags thats the question
