Fall Practice #1

My point is it doesn't appear that any of the other positions were decided on"Summer workouts."

Zion, Herbert, Blades were. Arguing any other position to this point is dumb. All other spots either A. Have a really experienced long standing proven starter, or B. Guys head and shoulders more talent than those behind them (the safeties for example over a guy like Knowles).

QB. None have experience and all three are clearly close in the race. It is common place for S&C coaches to give their input. If Martell was a leader during the off-season it is not ludicrous he STARTS at QB1. Manny said the QB will not be the guy that wants the job, but needs the job, and that he would discuss everyone's progress with Feeley.

In no way shape or form is he being given QB1 permanently based solely on lifting.

C'mon man. When the coach comes out and says Martell has taken the first step, what does that mean?

Anyone know what the QB's stats were yesterday? From what I can tell by just now sifting through this thread, it looks like Martell had 2 passing TD's, 2 Interceptions, and 1 rushing TD. I saw that Jarren had 1 TD, but that's about the only thing I noticed about him. Didn't really see anything about Perry other than he started out 3rd in the rotation, completed a few passes and under threw one. Anyone have the scoop?

There was a third interception thrown by one of the QBs (tip ball to Couch), but haven't seen it reported who threw that one.

That is my point exactly. Based on what in the Summer? You have weight training with Feeley and player organized football workouts. So, how are you judging things from player run workouts that don't involve coaches? I'm sure Feeley kept track of who was working out the hardest, etc. That's the only thing any judgment could be made on. So, that's it. Based on weight training? And of course this applies to every position right?

Why are you making such a big deal out of this? Are you mentally challenged? You are literally complaining about who got the first reps with the 1’s on the first day of practice where all 3 QB’s split reps with the 1’s. You also are obviously too unintelligent to understand that the Summer Workouts matter. You keep talking about player led workouts. Do you think maybe it matters who is actually leading those workouts? You think maybe there’s a chance Tate was being more of a leader in that regard? How about the QB meetings every week? You think maybe it was obvious to Enos and Diaz in those meetings that Tate was putting more work in studying the play book?

It makes me sad that someone could possibly be this dumb, but I suspect what you are really trying to do is build a race narrative.

based on how it was reported (sequence of events), it seemed to be either williams or martell (martell threw a pick a few plays before and then there were posts talking about Williams TD). not sure tho

Based on weight lifting with Feeley? Really? Because anything else is player run and would be against NCAA rules for coaches to be involved.
Yes. Give guys incentive to work hard in the offseason. Removes the sense of entitlement in the summer. It’s been like this for a while.

What has Zion done to start or blades?? What has Jarren done to be qb2??? The depth chart will be adjusted according to performance from here on out...

Ur a ******* idiot, Manny has been doing that at every position since he had been coaching at Miami in both spring and fall camp, and each time the person there were people who started getting first team reps, but at the end of the camp was not first team, so this idea of Tste being handed the job is just ur ridiculous imagination and persistence in being in denial.

Y'all running out of narratives slowly but surely. First it was "he can't throw" that then turned into "but it wasn't a spiral" and now it's "he can't be under center".

Im waiting on the grand finale though. "it was never truly an open competition".

D *** lee say it with me, repeat after me "who threw 2 picks?"

What are you so fired up over again?
