Mario has hinted at it in interviews. He mentioned the snapper and holder.
I watched the couple kicks from the playoffs, seemed OK but if he was worried about snap, hold, protection it easily enough to take him off his game.

I haven't been happy with our ST program since Coker took over and that includes Marios tenure. We have been spoiled by good kickers recently but the rest of it has been pedestrian at best. Hopefully it was the things out of his control that put him off his game last season and Auburn can feel comfortable and keep a clear mind this season

I respect you, my friend. You make some good points. We agree on some things, especially hoping he straightens out this year for us.

Last year, Texas had a team to win it all. He was a big reason why they didn’t advance and in Nov/Dec is not when you want to be missing FG vs earlier part of the year.

Here are Borregales stats:

He’s had more kicking opportunities vs Andy but the 40-49 range is not in the same ballpark as Andy’s and it’s very concerning for end of half or end of game 2 minute situations.
Borregales was the best kicker in the county and was drafted. Anyone expecting that year to year is crazy.

College kickers almost always suck and miss easy kicks they shouldn't or kicks in big moments. If this guy can consistently hit PATs and kicks inside the 40, that's good enough

I’ve seen him kick in practice. The “panic” (more like legitimate concern) is warranted.

I read somehwere on this board that texas's whole ST operation took a **** last season. Bad snaps, ****** holds etc. Ultimately Auburn took the fall or legit just bounced to get away from the ****** environ. I haven't fact checked this statement but I hope it is true.

I'm not denying that they had issues. But, again, he was PERFECT for 4 years at extra points. So the snaps and holds were fine for THOSE, and there were a lot more PATs than FGs.

And then he was great on FGs in 2022, 2023, and September-October of 2024. So whatever issues were going on, it picked up speed throughout the season:

September (4 games) - 1 miss
October (4 games) - 1 miss
November (4 games) - 3 misses
Post-season (3 games) - 4 misses

When it is? I just got my wife fitted for a new mouthpiece, me and my 8oz gloves wanna have a formal meeting and I need some updates.
Is this a bit or are you actually physically abusing your family members because you can't wait for college football to start?

Either way, nicely done.

Man I wish this was a bit. These medical bills are starting to pile up. My wife is in a coma (only precautionary, they said when the swelling comes down she’ll be weaned off) so I’ve been sneaking feet pics when the nurses leave. The doctor said I’m not allowed to sell the used gowns but I’m sorry I thought this was America??

You've got balls. I like balls.
