ESPN article mentions "UM set to rise, due to schedule"

As I have alluded to before, Voters and committee members are usually caught up in the moment when it comes to things like this.
If Miami defeats a top 5 Clemson team the narrative will be that Miami is back and that Richt finally won the big game. Not only a big game but a game against a team that has been to three straight playoffs and two out of three CFB championship games.

UGA losing even if it is a close game will not be enough.

But it may all be moot because I think UGA will probably lose at LSU.

I don’t see us running the table but it’s still fun to speculate.

The main thing is we need some losses in the Big 12 to knock them out. I suspect that will happen.

Pac 12 is already out. That would leave the SEC, ACC, Big 10, and possibly ND. ND is a fraud like always, but the rest of their schedule is doable. They can lose to USC and possibly get upset by Northwestern or Syracuse.

Worst case scenario would be UGA losing one game, and then beating Alabama in the title game. I don’t think it’s possible and I see two loses on the horizon for UGA, but you never know.

We really just need ND to lose, but if they do it will come very late in the season.
 
ND is going to lose at least 1game along the way, especially playing on the road I think 3 games in a row. OU already lost yesterday, so additional losses can occur there. IF Miami wins out and takes care of business versus Clemson, then we’re in the CFP. Regardless of what the SEC does, and even if they get 2 participants in the game.

You people are smoking crack if you think the way that team playerd yesterday can compete with Clemson...... Remember that the ACCG is basically a home game for Clemson and the weather is generally ****** at that time of year. I should know because I live there!

No one said that the way Miami played yesterday would beat Clemson.

No sir. I'm good and it's all in fun. We tend to get carried away though, from time to time.

At the end of the day, you're correct there will always be multiple scenarios that should always be considered

This. FSU was in if Travis isn’t injured

They probably deserve to be in but it would be a waste because they’d get blown out by any of the other 3 teams.

The committee knows that and made the right decision on the 4 best teams right now
 
It also won’t matter next year because there will be 12 teams in. So it will prob be 3-4 SEC, 3-4 Big Ten, 2-3 ACC and 1-2 At large
