Enos is confident in Jarren Williams as a Game Manager vs UF

Enos has a history handling a first year starter in a big game early on in the season. Week 2 of the 2016 season Austin Allen was making his second career start @ 15th ranked TCU. Arkansas won that day 41-38 and Allen went 17/29 for 223 yards and 3 TDs.

Jarren's got more talent in his pinky hinger than Allen has in his whole body. We good.

Jarren is probably gonna come out hyped and the butterflies will rumble in his belly.

It will do wonders to get completions and manageable 2nd and 3rd downs. No sense missing low percentage passes and watching the ball hit the ground right out the gate.

Let him get hot and settle in. When he calms down later in the first or second quarter, open it up.

He will have success against the turds and if the tackles are decent, may come out of the game showing we have one of the nation’s best young quarterbacks.

Yes but his first game wasn't against a top ten team.very seldom will you see a first game qb tear up a top ten team.
True but Miami has matchups it can exploit while on both offense and defense. Williams May be a first time starter but he’s been in a college program going on for almost 2 years and has been through two full winter/offseason workouts, two full spring and fall camps which is much different then let’s say trotting our Brad kaaya who won the job as a true freshman while only arriving to campus 3 months prior to getting his first career start. With a new system and the talent we have Williams could potentially have a big game imo

People can say first time starter or whatever but if you ask me who do I feel More comfortable with getting our weapons the ball and throwing the most consistent? It’s jarren all day which is really all we need to succeed in this offense honestly

Enos knows what he’s doing, he’s no rookie OC. He’ll get Jarren warmed up and give him some tempo plays.
Obviously if he’s showing he’s capable he’ll give him something bigger to chew on and go from there.

This is Jarrens 2nd year in the system...he’s not a true freshman rookie.
Didn't "the system" change completely from last year (remember Richt?). This IS his first year in "TNM" system. If not, we've been sold a bunch of ****.

If the QB was a senior it would still be a brand new system. 8 months is plenty of time to learn a new play book. It does not take a team rocket scientists to learn a new system
PS: New system should be advantage. Crocs have no film of this offense to prepare

Fck that game manager ****. Go out there and be great.

Nowhere in the video did Enos use the phrase *game manager* or implies he needs to stay on script and manage the game.

Enos said Williams would have nerves / amped up / anxiousness (duh!) and wants him to not "abandon his training", which can lead to "catastrophic mistakes".

Focus on every play. Footwork. Demeanor. Eyes. Fundamentals and techniques.

Don't need to be Superman. Make routine plays, do what he's coach to do, don't try to win the game himself—lots of other guys out there helping him.

Posters need to worry about sharing the actual video and not creating false storylines or fake bylines when sharing this stuff as these threads go off the rails when people don't actually watch the video and just start commenting on the original poster's (wrong) interpretation of the video.

We don’t need to sling it with a new qb and a line that hasn’t pass protected well. We need to run our horses back there, play action alot, use the TEs and at work don’t turn it over and play defense: this isn’t the game to throw it all over
To run play action successfully you need an established o line and runnimg game which we don't have/haven't proven we have yet. I definitely agree with using our TE's and we gotta play a clean game with no or limited turnovers. Jarren is gonna have to make throws and Enos will need to set up the run via the pass first for us to win.

there's no experience like game experience why do fans here put so much pressure on a kid making his first start.do kosar and testaverde ring a bell.enos is right there's good enough around Williams to where it's just not on his shoulders for us to win.Williams will do fine just don't expect him lighting it up out the gate from the first snap.let him get settled down and adjusted to speed of the game which where practise is concerned can't immulate.
