An airlift for precautionary measures when there's an actual hospital that sits on the edge of campus? That doesn't sound right but let's hope it's true.
because Lois Pope life center is basically the top center of its kind in the us. even if it's just a precaution, you send the kid there.
Good point. Gotcha. We kinda need to reserve criticisms in relation to information on things like this because, as we learned after the fact about another player almost dying not too long ago, the school truly is limited legally in what medical information they can disseminate.
For something like this, even if they're sent to Doctor's (across the street), that hospital would likely effectuate a transfer based on not having the specializations or capabilities to properly stabilize the patient. I don't know the specifics of this case, but a transfer to JHS Trauma would not necessarily be inappropriate.
Gotcha. I guess when I saw "precautionary" my mind shifted away from a possible head/neck or spinal trauma. That seems to be the case though based on everything that's leaking out so what you guys are saying makes sense. Let's just hope it was a stinger that appeared much worse initially that it actually is. At least the medical staff around the team is top notch and we're located in close proximity to excellent facilities.
