You related to this guy or something? Sound really, really, devoted to a dude has not actually won a thing. Like almost any coach this guy is a throw of the dice. Hue makes zero impact upon hiring. IF he starts winning big, then maybe he can recruit but remember, unlike others, he will not be recruiting against Golden but rather all the guys who used Al as shower mate.
Nah, I just think he'd be a great pick .
How stupid of me to thjnk a guy in line to be an nfl head coach be my college coach . A guy that's well respected in the pros .
I'm sorry. I'd rather have a guy at Houston who's coached four games or an ol coach at bama .
I apologize.
Dismissively placing Herman in the same sentence as Cristobal is f***ing ridiculous, honestly.
Those are two guys that's been mentioned on here , not comparing them to each other.
I'm actually a Herman guy but I'm not crowning him after four games, now that would be ridiculous. Point was Hue is way more respected than those guys , and been at the highest level for a decade. It was aimed at the people dismissing Hue. Like he's not good enough for UM
Gotcha. I'm intrigued by Hue and like him a **** of a lot more than names like Kiffin/Strong/Schiano/Cristobal/Chud. Certain parts of his resume raise concerns, but to his credit he's having the best year of his coaching career right now. I have an open mind towards him and am curious to see how the rest of their season plays out.
As for Herman, I'm bullish on him to the point where I think he'll clearly establish himself as the undisputed hottest coaching name at the CFB level by season's end. So much so that Texas may end up firing Strong just so they don't miss out on him. We'll see, though.
I don't view my stance on him as crowning him after four games as the new head coach at Houston. I place a great deal of stock in his three-year run at Ohio State under Urban, where he played a huge part in their national title run as their playcaller and QB coach who had both Barrett and Jones playing at an exceptionally high level after Miller went down. People were talking about Barrett as a Heisman candidate before he got injured and Jones as a first-round prospect after just three starts, but people are now talking about how much worse they both look the more they see of them. I don't think that's a coincidence since Herman isn't there anymore.
