This is complete BS You could let Golden go now and the buyout this year would be less than the salary they are paying him.Plus you elevate someone internally to head coach. Its likely Donofrio would leave too. The team is 3-1 and the board doesn't make decisions here the president and the AD do. Although its not likely, if this team by some Miracle is 4-1 by beating FSU they have Clemson and VT at home .There is no way any formal discussions about new coaches is going on right now .If there was there is no way any leaks like this would have come out.

Hue Jackson isn't bad at all but.... There are better options out there.

I've been talking with friends about Hue since the first firing rumors started. He's has always been intriguing to me.

Good offensive mind that's well respected around the league. Went 8-8 with the Raiders , which is unheard of. So he's not a first time coach. He's been coaching at the highest level for years.

Hue's also has a great personality , that would be huge in recruiting.

He's not **** but I'd be more than pleased.

Best case he learns how to be a HC on our dime and after 4 years maybe has a winning season. By then there will be 8000 people in the stands and FAU will be stealing our recruits. DO you seriously think some dude name Hue is going head to head with Jimbo, Satan, Liar and the new swamp scum coach and getting anyone? Those guys will probably donate to pay his salary. We are way to far down the drain for this type of hire. Al was the BOT shot like this. Now it is only Butch.

Vern, he has no college HC experience. Can we afford the learning curve? Butch was not very impressive those first years. What type of defense is he going to run. We've learned you can't leave that to fate. Can this guy recruit So Fl -- it is not So Cal recruiting for USC with all their bagmen. Butch might not be THE answer but as least we know that 3 yrs from now we will have the best players in the frigging country suiting up. Can you promise that from Hue?

This is one reason why i don't post **** I'm told, that and out of respect. The only reason I posted this was Op's thread is very much legit. And I was told this in Dec or Jan.
