Does anyone believe this OL is elite?

Little dypshyt literally gets "Beck better than Mensah" out of that ^^^…. Then these two start sucking each other's pricks.

But yeah Mensah gotta play someone before I crown him…. And I already admitted he's better than I gave him credit for. I believe South Florida defense would be 2nd best defense on Duke's schedule? And what did we count last night…4 or 5 better than Clemson who is the best on their schedule (since you like "metrics so much @STG go check out SP+ for the defenses Mensah has face, and again I'm not saying the kid isn't good and I am saying he's a little better than I gave him credit for…But to slurp him like this board is? Nah, I gotta see him play someone with a pulse)
Lol.

They don’t look very good to my untrained eyes.

I see a noticeable difference in OL play when I switch to a lot of random game.

Horrible? No. Average? Probably

We’re better at pass protection so good thing we insist on running into stuffed boxes.

theyre good in pass pro. theyre terrible in run blocking but we also do no favors with the scheme.

theyre undisciplined. theyre overall poorly coached. mirabal should be seeing the unemployment line after this year but he wont be

Because it's so easy getting "explosive runs" out of Mark Fletcher, Carson Beck, and Chamar Brown right?

And again if you are facing a top 20-30 run defense every game your ypr are going to be affected.

You are so lost.

Jeezus you are such a slurper and next level dumb. Excuses left and right to try and justify your failed argument that we have an elite OL. Go sit in the corner.

Teams around the country give the defense something to think about pre snap

I mean we’ve been watching teams trying to neutralize our DL by doing this all season and nothing clicks when we see it

Tight splits protect pass pro but not run blocking if you’re not giving the defense anything to think about

It’s also not just coaching. We used some motion and eye candy and were effective but our OL has also shown they can’t handle the smallest of changes or distractions

Year 4 and the OL performance and development is not up to the standards that were set and people still looking for scapegoats other than Mario

Look how @Cway13 jumps in with the dyck-ride like when he can't make his own arguments…. That dude's comedy.

Again for about the 19th time in this thread…you absolute moron…We have an elite pass blocking offensive line. And a decent but not good enough run line. There is no excuses, I'm looking objectively, you are just angry after a loss, and I get it.

Went from top 20 to decent, but not good enough. You are an elite ******* doofus.

Them not being able to run block when it matters is a coaching problem not talent. Same with them getting too many flags. All of Mirabal’s OL had penalty problems.
Maybe because the defense is aware of of the bs play . Just like the laterals don’t matter how good you’re when they jump the play . Dawson had not once did a double move a fake on 1 yard to gain to keep them honest .some dumb **** prob in the same count because we’ll jump

Ya i’d probably still say we are borderline top 20 run blocking. But even when he first disagreed with me on this I said that I could see his argument.

So ya go back to run and hiding and sending a cornball meme with an “lol”

You uninformed little t wat

This line is elite at pass blocking but they are not good at run blocking. Every run turns into a rugby scrum. Every run is muddy, and that's why Fletcher and Brown are better in this run scheme than Lyle (who is much more talented). The LG and C positions have taken turns struggling. The predictable play calling hurts the line, of course, but it doesn't seem like the OL is creating any holes. We need an experienced run game coordinator to come in and help Dawson modernize this run game.
An Oline is only as good as the playcaller, the RBs vision, and the QBs decision making.

Trust me, even with our weak ahh center. 98% of coaches would take this line over their own.

Overrated but hard to look good when you run the same play into a stacked box or even 6 man box when safeties are firing without threat of anything else. This is like a middle school playbook and that is absurd because 2023 Dawson had some gangster a** plays
run game id definitely Mario and his sidekick Mirabell. is the Oline that athletic that they could pull and pin , pull for a ross sweep trap block
how athletic are the group of linemen has he assembled?????
are we the most boring offensive team to watch ?, we are a cure for insomnia

Not only did Dawson run 6 vs. 9, but he also motioned Toney across, bringing a 10th defender into the box. It doesn't matter what Bell or Cooper does, there are too many bodies to block!
yea i dont think guys are seeing that there are three guys making the tackle there...even if bell and bauman did their job it was done...and then the motioning of more guys in has been a pet peeve of mines going on 3 years....

i guess it tookt his long also to realize our wrs arent as good of blockers as jacolby george, x restrepo and company...i mea it was assinie then but we routinely motioned x in last year to hit up on lbs and all type of front line defenders lol

TrumpyCane wants to know the last time Beck got sacked

***** sacked, how bout even pressured. I need to find the pressure rates.

This is why this is all so maddening. To be fair, we did have our 2nd lowest rush rate over expected of the entire season. Meaning, every play/situation is examined, and what does the "average" team nationally call in that situation. What you do in the same situation is compared with what the national average does, and that's your rushing rate over expected. Meaning, did you run the ball more or less than a team in the same situation would?

Miami's was the 2nd lowest of the season, meaning we did lean somewhat into the passing game.

However, it still wasn't a great plan or execution. Do you know how easy it is to carve up a defense when you have a pretty accurate passer, who literally never gets pressured, playing against a VERY subpar pass defense? Beck should have had 400 yards in that game. But our plan was to use Toney like Deebo Samuel.

AND SMU was the WORST pass defense in the country YET we didn't even get 300 yards. SMU wanted to stop our run and was willing to let us pass.

The pass blocking vs run blocking ratings are skewed by the tight splits.

They are huge and with tight splits, there's very little space inside to get to the QB. The best chance is on the edge where the 2 best OL are in Cici and Bell. But the run game suffers miserably for it.

With normal splits, you'd see who's great at pass pro and who's more average.
