DL RECRUITING

OL recruiting is elite, but DL specifically DT recruiting is not. Mario has not emphasized DT recruiting like he has OT. We did whatever it took to land the number one OT in 2025. We need to do the same for DT. We will not win a ship without elite DT play. I keep hearing that $$ is not the issue. If true, then make Brown an offer he cannot refuse.

Texas Tech paid over 5m for Ojo. They did what they had to do to get their elite guy and beat out the big boys in doing so. Everyone has a price. Let’s do same if we are serious about a ship. We are awfully close.

Disagree, Scott, Blay, Moten, Jones and Simpson are all over 300 pounds and every single one of them if you have seen them play, has the ability to dominate at this level. Don’t come at me like you played this game, I did and I know what it needs to look like and those five defensive tackles I listed, is what it needs to look like.
I like all those guys, but we need more numbers at DT.

Is this real? Lmao

You don't need a plethora of 5 star DTs to compete and make the playoffs, theres talent in that room coach them the **** up and go accomplish something on that field. No more excuses! wouldve loved to add more @ DT for this yr but we have recruited well enough to go & get this ACC monkey off our back. just get the **** done.

We have been patient for 20 years. Another year or two will be worth it. @DMoney says on the podcast. DT is the toughest position for the Transfer Portal/Recruit so, I believe it is always a priority. But like I said it is hard to recruit a kid who knows nothing of Miami and winning. If we can get to the playoffs a few years in row. The kids will look at us differently. But let’s not over look all the great DE he has recruited the last few years.
Fair enough but believe me that nobody is overlooking any of these DEs! I literally cannot wait to see them play!

What are you talking about? I never even mentioned Blay, Moten, Jones and Simpson. Don't come at you? Nobody came at you. You specifically mentioned the most 5 star trench bullies. That's what I was referring to. I'm not even sure what it is you disagree with. I love all those DTs you listed as they are excellent prospects and I expect them to play well but at this point most of them are unproven. Besides the conversation about DT is mostly about continuing to stock the position for the future.

My post was anything but argumentative so I don't get what wound you up so much. Maybe try the decaf?
My point is this, I’ve heard enough of people ****ing and moaning about defensive tackle when we have an above solid defensive tackle room with a chance to be elite in that room. The constant BS agenda some posters continue to post on here is flat out wrong. Also, it seems like no one remembers, we just got a defensive tackle with legit dominant size out of SEC country. Which is the one thing our room has been lacking. So save me with the BS.

If ND runs for 250 the back slapping and I told you so's will be biblical. Same old summer narratives being written by the same people. Even with a 330 pound DT I the fold plus another lol.

If they get stuffed and lose. Crickets.

I can wait for ND.

Hello July my old friend.

I was more so talking about the douchey *** “Don’t come at me bro! I played, you didn’t” comment schtick. But go off.
I did play, and I know what it needs to look like out there and those five defensive tackles I listed, are exactly what it needs to look like. You can call it douche, I don’t give a **** because it’s the truth.

Forget the decaf. It's clear what you need is a one armed jacket, a rubber room and a lithium shake. Good day sir.

F🙌ck off dork! Don’t you have article to write or something. I’m going to go ahead and trust my opinion seeing as I played the game versus a news head like you. Lol

I cannot disagree with the statement more, posters, like you come on here and say the same BS about defensive tackles when we have signed more trench bullies than any other program in the country the last three years. You realize that every one of our defensive tackles on our roster is over 300 pounds and has a chance to be big time at their position. How are you saying we’re so far away when we legit have a top 10 defensive line currently right now?

Are you crazy 🤪, with making the statement that Miami has signed more Trench Bullies then any other school in the country. We are aren't even close to have having dline rooms full of trench bullies. So are you saying our Dline rooms has been on par with Michigan, OSU, Texas, UGA, Clemson, Oregon, PSU, Etc over the last 3 years.

Point blank we have a ways to go both with current dline roster development and 2026 dline class recruiting. Now oline we are stacked with Trench bullies, without question.

Go Canes
