Trench bullies is an umbrella term that consists of all offensive and defensive linemen. The statement that we have signed more 5 star trench bullies in the last 3 years than any other program is true. However that is not what
@Dwinstitles is referring to. He's referring to the fact that only 1 of those 5 stars plays DT(Justin Scott) and that the overall depth at DT isnt close to what we have at OL and DE. Our OL recruiting is great and our DE recruiting is fantastic. Our DT recruiting has been good but not to the level of OL and DE.
@Dwinstitles is just saying that in order to compete with programs like Geogia, OSU etc that our DT recruiting needs to rise to the level of our OL and DE recruiting. He's right but the thing is that recruiting elite DTs is difficult because the competition for them is intense. We're on our way and we are making strides but we need to be patient and keep winning. Consistently winning 10 plus games plus competing for conference titles and playoff appearances is absolutely crucial in order to be able play at the big boy sandbox(being consistently serious players for the elite DTs and signing them). I love Kennedy and Bacon and think we have a good shot of finishing this cycle with at least 3 and maybe 4 excellent prospects at DT with Lamar Brown being a possibility. Go Canes!
