This kid, and his entire family, have taken to social media multiple times to complain about this or that.

Get that **** outta the program. Dude was an all American in HS and obviously that **** went to his head. I didn't really see the kid improve at all in his time here. When asked about Dionte from the media, Dugans and Richt would always say he needs to practice more consistent. That's code for he doesn't give 100%.

Richt is all about 2nd chances - so there's no doubt this wasn't the only thing that got him kicked off.

It's for the best. He wasn't gonna get any playing time this year... And next year would've even been even harder with Njoku, Pope and Hightower on the squad.

Good luck in community college Dionte! Hope you mature from this. If not, you'll be lucky to be a PE teacher 4 years down the road.

GO CANES!!!

I thought a suspension would probably have been more appropriate. This feels a bit disproportionate, if it was just tweets.

Reading between the lines of his tweets, he must have confronted Coach Dugans about his lack of playing time, it went south and Coach Dugans told him to leave. The news got to Richt and he was gone.

The word "Inconsistent" was used with him more than any other player. Yet he expects to be targeted each time? Camaan son.

You don't get kicked off the team for a tweet. If nothing else he could have said he was drunk and being stupid and would have been reprimanded. There was a lot more going on that we don't know about. After the Herndon TD, all the WR were celebrating on bench. Mullins instead chose to stay on bench pouting.

This is a classic case of a kid being delusional about his role and abilities. Early in the year he dropped several easy passes. He has also had dumb personal foul penalties. And then he nearly cost us the game against GT. You add all that up and clearly his role on the team was exactly where it should have been. Yet he feels slighted. Sorry but that not the way big time football is played out.

I dont imagine it was the first straw with the staff and I'm not sure why people would assume it was.

He very well could have just left the team, not been kicked off. Usually getting kicked off takes a bit longer than 24 hours.

Was he that dynamic of a receiver, I just remember great hands but slow vs the competition. Forget being a homer it's about best fit.

Pete didn't say he was kicked off. He said he is no longer with the team. Good chance this was a mutual decision.

Unfortunate but it’s not a big loss with the way JT4 and Langham have played this year. Pope and Hightower next year coming in, it’s probably best for all parties. Gives us another scholly and gives Dionte a chance to find some playing time.

Best of luck to him.

Unfortunate, but you can't call out the staff like he did. This wouldn't fly at Bama, Ohio St., Oklahoma, Texas, USC, etc...

Why should it fly here?

Ezekial Elliot did it. Difference was, Mullins is expebdable.

Actually, Meyer made a career out of getting players like Mullins the ball. Albeit it was after a loss, and social media wasn't as prevalent then, Meyer said the seeds of His offensive philosophy came from consoling a crying David Givens who didn't get the ball that day. Not saying Richt should've taken this approach, just saying not all coaches are the same.

I remember when Zeke called out the OSU staff, Urban actually said he was RIGHT, but just addressed it in the wrong forum.

Sucks but it's nice to know that Miami is in an position where they can make a move like this. A few years ago this doesn't happen.

Some of you dopes act like Mullins was Marc Walton or Travis Homer with a pristine reputation as a workaholic and team leader and just had one temporary lapse of judgment with that tweet.

That tweet was a symptom of a bigger issue with Mullins and his crew of enablers. If you think that just came out of nowhere, and he was a model citizen before that tweet, then you guys are massive colostomy bags.

Was he ever really here?

Gotta be honest, tho: I dont like the move if its solely just for the tweets. Hes a kid man. Suspend him a few games, but axed from the squad? For sone tweets ?

I wonder if theres more going on here we dont know about .

100% there's more that went on behind the curtain. Acting up on social media is usually the kettle blowing off steam, but the water's been on boil for a minute.
His one tweet was basically recapping calling out his coach to their face. Clearly more than a tweet.

It fine for him to be ****ed about not playing. I like that, go cuss the coach out at practice, respectfully, practice harder whatever u need to do. Putting it on Twitter, no way. No one to blame.

If you're old enough to talk ****, then you're old enough to get fvcked up. Deuces.

It's unfortunate, but it won't affect our performance this year.

We have plenty of firepower at WR. This means maybe a bit more playing time for Langham and DeeJay.
