Yea biggest game of the year 20 years old and he's not playing you dont expect him to be frustrated and lash out?? If twitter was out 20 years ago your favorite canes would be doing the same ****.... Yall need to shut the ***** up along with Dionte

That's a legitimate argument for a high school sophomore, not a college sophomore. 21 is absolutely old enough to manage how he airs his grievances with the public. I understand him talking to coach about where exactly he stands. Close mouths don't get fed. But tweeting is the same as a press conference, and he absolutely knows that. Immature. Fortunately, I think the attitude of the team as a whole is so positive that this won't have detrimental effects.

I don't think you're necessarily wrong about that, but if I remember correctly Momma Mullins had a lot to say on twitter/interviews during recruiting (and everyone seemed to love it), so his role models might be a little more public with their comments than most.

i think almost everyone agrees that he was 100% wrong to do that. Instead of tossing him, I hope he learns from it and comes back as a better man and is successful here.........which I think is the same message Vern was trying to get out.

He doesn't get separation. I know it's tough to ride the bench in front of your family, but you can always go to Bama, UF, FSU, etc...like many do or transfer.

I feel his passion but that was for his peoples to see he's not taking the lack of PT laying down.

Mama Mullins used to be prolific on twitter including an EPIC video rant after a game he played very little for the previous coach (what was his name?) I haven't seen her since and agree that his role model on social media might not be providing the best guidance. Still, 21 years old you own whatever you tap out on your phone.

Yet another reason I hate the social media age.

Every little thing like this is over- analyzed to death.

He typed up something and deleted it. Time to move on.

Dee Mullins must be the biggest idiot out there on twitter.

Richt is a grown man, he knows where it's coming from, just frustration. I'm not so quick to dismiss players. There may come a time when we really need him, and he could also be a key contributor on special teams for all we know. With cager, Harley and njoku hurt and Dallas at rb, we are down to 7 wrs.

I like Dionte, and I haven't given up on him being a contributor here.

But what moronic, selfish drivel to post. I agree he's probably inherited those Twitter fingers from his mother.

I’d be surprised to see him recover from that at UM. That’s the opposite of the culture we are building, and I’m not sure he’ll ever make it out of the doghouse after that. You can’t let cancerous attitudes like that infect a locker room. The program is where it hasn’t been in 15 years, and this stronzo is complaining about his playing time. Expect Dana Hologram on the phone soon.

Hopefully, there’s enough leadership on the team that a couple guys will fill a pillowcase with soap bars and beat the **** out of him. See how he responds to that and then cut him loose if he responds poorly.

Who are the idiots on twitter responding to his tweet telling him “transfer u baby” ??? That’s also a bad look.
Actually, it’s enablers like you who are the problem. Mullins need to see reality not enabling. And reality is that that sort of cancerous attitude is unacceptable everywhere in society.

This team has great momentum and does NOT need this type of distraction. It was selfish of Dionte to write this sort of thing on Twitter. How about focusing on beating ND and helping your teammates get better?

For his part, Dionte should work harder and be a great teammate (do whatever he can to help the team win). He can look to Langham as an example of someone whose time came in more than a couple huge moments because he kept his head down and worked hard.

When you have a lot of talent on offense (and we do), it is hard to get enough targets to each WR in addition to our stud TE and RB.

We cannot be wasting plays against ND (any plays) so we have to throw to the guys who consistently catch the ball (Herndon, Berrios, Richards, Langham and Thomas -- JT, if he's hot that day).

Banning him from Twitter is like taking a pack of matches away from an arsonist. It’s the mindset and attitude that’s the problem, not Twitter. If he doesn’t say it on Twitter he’d just act out in some other way that is destructive to our team and its chemistry.

You can’t fix that sort of selfishness and deeply ingrained **** perspective by limiting social media access. We saw the same **** with Sam Bruce, and I told you the same thing then. And I told you that well before he got kicked off the team. They took him off Twitter, but they couldn’t take the cvnt out of him.

A poster was talking about his family trashing UM on Twitter. Look no further. Unfortunately, coaches can’t always overcome 20 years of horrible familial leadership.

It was only a matter of time before certain posters defended the kid.

They need to suspend him a week and see how he responds.

You can't call out your coaches on social media. Do that sht in person and be a man about it.

Exactly most of these dudes some bxtches in here anyway.. Dionte wanted to play and believes he is as good or better than the receivers in front of him. The margin is so tiny on this roster just being a little less focused can have you beat out so I can understand how that's frustrating.

Fans on this board will btch cry and pick other teams to beat us then switch up like it's no problem when we win.. but got the nerve to attack a player over this bs, like they're the true gatekeepers to all things loyal to The U. Gtfoh

So true
