Dee Mullins must be the biggest idiot out there on twitter.

I wish if I can up vote this post 100 times.

Please tell me how I'm wrong.

I don't understand how someone who talks about how stupid our HC is that brought our team to 8-0 for the first time in ages still thinks Al Golden should be a better coach for our team.
You're misinterpreting ilovelamp51 post and my approval of it. We are not disagreeing with you. At least I don't. But you are wrong in saying he is the biggest idiot out there on twitter. There are much bigger Twitter idiots out there. Just look at the GIF he posted and think for a minute.

You def dont get it do you? SMFH

Kid needs to be patient, keep working hard, & figure out a way to carve a role in Richt's system...it's worked for Berrios & Langham.

Dude is acting like a spoiled brat. It's a bad look to show your as s over pt after a huge W. Its the definition of making it about yourself.

I'm not saying kick him off but he needs a really good talking to.

Guys like that isn't good for the locker room , hopefully he gets it. If not , the show will go regardless.

Sorry but Dayall Harris shouldn't be getting PT over Mullins.

But this was an absolutely stupid *** thing to post on twitter and incredibly selfish.

WR Reps tiers:

1. Richards and Berrios - Rarely leave field.
2. Thomas - About 65% of reps at Outside WR opposite Richards.
3. Harley & Langham - Harley should get about 20% of reps at Z and start working in behind Berrios. Langham should basically dominate the PT behind Richards. (Also, Langham and Richards should both be on the field in the redzone/goal line, take Thomas/Harley out)
4. Mullins - Sparingly used, maybe like 7% of snaps.
5. Harris & Cager -Basically no PT maybe a play or two max.

Who exactly should he play over ?

I saw an interview with Saban where he told the reporter how he handles situations like this. When a kid comes to him demanding/or voicing concerns over playing time, he'll ask the kid who he thinks he should earn playing time over.

My question to Mullins is, out of the following receivers who've seemed to have passed him up on the depth chart, who are you better than?

Berrios
Richards
JT
Harley
Langham

Langham has bailed us out against FSU and GT. I'm almost certain that if anyone should be mad about not getting many passes thrown his way, its him (Rosier did target him a couple of times against VT irrc).

Sadly, I think Mullins may find himself as an attrition candidate with the 3 receivers we're bringing in and we're only losing Berrios after this season.

Yea biggest game of the year 20 years old and he's not playing you dont expect him to be frustrated and lash out?? If twitter was out 20 years ago your favorite canes would be doing the same ****.... Yall need to shut the ***** up along with Dionte

Different generation. Entitlement wasn't as much of a thing 20 years ago as it was now.

He doesn't get separation. I know it's tough to ride the bench in front of your family, but you can always go to Bama, UF, FSU, etc...like many do or transfer.

I feel his passion but that was for his peoples to see he's not taking the lack of PT laying down.

He's going to get separation...from the program.

Harley was out this game..which is why he probably expected more reps. He played alot of reps here and there during this season..then a wr goes down and he didnt add on any reps. Simple...do what saban does and see who he should get reps over?. I mean i like that he just wants to play...just shouldnt have posted online...coach also shouldnt be soft and should of just handled it when dude came to ask h im about it.

we were down a wr...im guessing he expected more reps or reps..(i thought he would get some of harley's) and apparently he didnt. **** Dayall Harris had a few reps.

Im guessing answering him about it mayh have helped to quelch the situation.

Shouldnt of posted it..hope he builds from it. I like him in the slot, he isnt bad. But wr's are wired different..he wasnt actually crying for the ball..just reps. Proper explanation by coaches, delete off twitter....get ready to go next week.

Nobody liked what he did, it's indefensible. But this is the age of social media.

To me, the staff needs to tell him where he stands and Mullins has a choice - bear down and get to work like man others have done or leave

But I wouldn't just automatically bounce him from the program but he should understand, you come to a program like UM, you will compete, bottom line. No one's place is promised(or at least it shouldnt be)

I don't know what the exchange was between Mullins and the coach(es). Its his side, their side and the truth. This staff doesn't seem like the type that plays favortism. They also seem to know what they're doing given our record and development across the board. I like Mullins and all and hope for the best. But Miami dominating VT in what's arguably our best win in about a decade shouldn't be overshadowed by a receiver that's nearly done with his 2nd year and still doesn't have a grasp of the playbook. Meanwhile, true freshman like Harley and Thomas have already passed him up and the latter's been far more productive.

yep. Coaches have to tell him what he needs to do to get that consistent PT. Spring will be big for him. This is a kid who was an academic risk coming out, was out of shape coming in and was very slow to get up to speed with the playbook. Some call him lazy. I don't know. I think he's kind of average but this spring will be huge for him and his career here.

it is not richt's style to get rid of a guy on his first offense, even one like this one. richt will keep the kid around and try to educate him, as it should be. now, if he's done other stupid things that we dont know about, then that's a different story.

How do you know this is the first offense? He could be a serial fool.

I don't. That whi I wrote last sentence

He's not as talented or athletic. And he's already been suspended on the team this year for 3 games.

Pretty sure Mullins got pt last game , and DH only played a few snaps. So it's not like that's where his snaps went.

It seems like last game the coaches went with who they trusted those most . It was a lot of bb, Ch, JT and AR

How do you guys know that the coaches haven’t told him what he needs to do. The coaches were pretty open about him in interviews when asked specifically about him last year and this preseason.

I’m sure they’ve been in his ear constantly during practice. Maybe he’s simply ignored their prodding, and they’ve tired of him not responding. Coaches get tired of guys who don’t listen or take their job seriously. When there are other options like we have now sometimes the coaches move on to those other options.

If the coaches have been prodding you for two years to handle your business at practice, then they don’t need to take meetings with you while preparing for our biggest game in 14 years.

As a former player, this goes on everywhere, especially within elite programs. Just watch when we start to load up on talent, the coaching staff must effective communicate with competition. For example, Cager was getting a lot of burn but was not performing, and I think because he was still not 100%. Richards was not healthy, and made bad plays, but still getting a lot of burn. Mullins has been open, but the ball going somewhere else.

If social media was back in the day, we would understand that this goes on all the time. I agree, Mullins should not use this type of approach to air his concerns. Mullins is a top wide receiver, and I like his energy during the games. CMR should suspend him a game to send a message to the team, and WR coach must not use players who are not ready nor producing. Regardless of who you are, multiple drops in a game...next man up.
