Did Jeff Thomas get a target???

I think as Perry practices more with the 1's, he'll get used to and target Thomas more.

Right now he's probably more comfortable with guys he's practiced with on the 2nd team - Harley, Langham, etc.

just dumb? Had it not been for the defensive scores we would have been in a dogfight. Stop being blind. There were many mistakes and were inefficient in many areas on offense. We also had so few snaps because we lost turnovers and had to punt a few times (besides the defensive effort). Brevin Jordan mentioned that he was proud to be doubled teamed. If that is the case, how can Thomas get one target? We were run heavy because Richt wanted to be conservative growing the ball. With our OL and our tendency to run the same run plays with little variation, Perry is going to have to throw the ball.

You can't look at a game in a vacuum like this. One play changes and not a single play happens the same way. Let's say Shaq's play is only sack and not a fumble. The offense gets the ball back and everything changes the rest of the way. Whose to say the offense gets to stay in a rhythm and we put up 60 without any defensive TDs. We just came off a 4 play 75 yard TD drive.

Yeah, can't take anything away from Harley, but that play where Perry threw the INT should've been Thomas Time. That's the same coverage He's beaten for those bombs He's caught this season. Gotta be something else going on with Him.

Not to mention our average starting field position was the 50 yard line, Thomas is great in space and it seems as we get in the redzone CMR prefers his big receivers, langham, cage, jordan etc. As others said we threw the ball 12 times, he had one catch, and someone previously posted where he said he was getting double teamed all night. If they want to take him away, they cannot have 8 in the box to stop the run and it becomes a #s game.

Also we were up huge at half, why risk sending JT deep, or throw him a screen and risk an injury in a game that was put away?

The way Samford receivers were getting behind the FSU secondary...I fully expect to see at least 1 or 2 JT deep catches.

I don’t remember Brevin doing anything either

So nothing from Jordan, Richards, or Thomas and the pass game still looked good? (Although maybe disjointed)

I like that.

I'll take 26-10 dogfights any day.

The offense did score 26 points, right?

Had it not been for whooping that ***...........it woulda been close

Once we got up 30-10 it seemed like Richt went conservative(as always). Which is a little frustrating as I’d like to see Kosi be able get more in game reps and throws,

We’re resting guys that we’re a little banged up. Not a big deal.

JT
JJ
AR

and hopefully Shaq all play vs FSU

To add to this great point...Once Richt knew the game was out of hand, he wasn't going to show FSwho or anyone else the playbook. Keep it on the ground pounding with vanilla run plays aaaaandd give the OL some mauling confidence. Good stuff.

They wanted to see if somebody else could beat them lol it’s funny thinking about Fedora trying to figure out how to stop us in their offices watching film.... like “ fck we have no chance but we gotta do something”

8 completions on 12 passes. A lot people didn’t get involved. Wasn’t needed

JT beat them deep last year and has been beating everyone deep this year so they had DEEP help over him ALL game. Just goes to who watches the game and who just looks at it.

Precisely... FSU will have a bunch of tape of us running basic dives and a whopping 12 pass plays in which one was a screen...
