Did Irma & this Long Break Doom our Season: Yes or No?

Depends completely on how our guys come back after the long layoff. We can't lose everything we had built up over summer and fall camp. Also depends on if our defense plays like BCU or like they did in the bowl game vs WVU

I'd rather lose everything we had "built up over Summer and Fall camp" if all that produces is what we saw against BCC thank you.

No offense to the OP. This is nothing personal. That's my disclaimer.

WTF is the matter with everyone around here lately? We get hit by a hurricane which is terrible but could have been much worse. We cancel Arkansas State and reschedule FSU which gives us two weeks before Toledo and we've got all these super queens talking about our season being doomed? You guys must be out of your freaking mind! If anything this brings the team closer and they rally around the South Florida community.

We have 10 straight weeks with no breaks from here on out and I get it but to even wonder if this will doom the season is beyond full ******. It's the most beta, soft shouldered, and pathetically weak state of mind I can remember ever seeing on this board. It's a straight up **** mentality that doesn't belong on a UM message board because it's the very antithesis of what this program stands for and frankly I'm shocked.

We have a very good team and staff that won't let adversity control them or let it define them. Yes they have to go 10 straight weeks but so freaking what. These are really tough and resilient kids that I am sure will do us all proud. So tighten up and just stop with the whole chicken little the sky is falling narrative. That's all

Right. Two weeks pass, BUT NO PRACTICE time yet. And U better hope Miami DOESN'T begin practicing on Saturday or Sunday! duh.

Because, in a best case scenario I would like to see Miami practice tomorrow or on Friday of this week.

We are practicing next Monday---FIVE days from now, and a few days before the Toledo game, even though Miamis campus nor the practice field sustaining minimal to no damage...and 30 players are STILL in Orlando. That Toledo game won't be a cakewalk because of this. The entire complexion of that game has now changed (timing, conditioning, & continuity will be off)

Cmon, now. This is a little ridiculous. This long and unnecessary layoff could absolutely doom our season. This team should be out there practicing today---tomorrow at worst.

You guys still think this thread is BS? GTFOH

How long do we typically practice for a specific opponent? If we play on Saturday, we usually start prepping for the next opponent Monday. This will be no different. You're either a troll or a really nervous ghey guy.

What's wrong with being nervous and ghey?

The main thing I meant was conditioning and endurance. Its likely half the team hasn't touched a weight since this happened. The picture of our guys at Columbus HS lowers my concern though.

You make a good point. Carry on.

The Gata playin today, been doing community work all week, having an ESPN special talking about how they are persevering.

You know it's bad when UF makes you look like a *****.

Damnit mane.

Miami and FSU got postponed because they had a common open date.

If they didn't, We be playin' this weekend.

Too much logic. Perception is simple:

ACC looks weak, SEC playin

SEC traditionally plays OOC schedule gheyer than your posts.
WTF are you talking about?

And what's with your fetish about UM doing "community work".
You have two threads on the same topic with the same cuantish attitude.
Why are you interested on who did what?

The OP has to be the most Goldenized poster around. This won't have much if any effect on anything in the long run.

Irma was most definitely a setback for our season but it did not ruin it. We missed out on a very likely W that would've been a great experience for our team in alot of ways. The other issue is having our bye week basically wasted. Before, we had like 12 days between duke and Gtech(+ a 9 day break after that) and now we have 7 days between fsu and Gtech. As far as the gators and they're community service, it will be dssier for them to help as they are not all dispersed across the state and have their own dorms to go to rather than a hotel in another city.

You've self-identified as a Miami hater and troll. Thanks for making it clear to everyone.
