Diaz first rookie mistake?

He learned from MOrk. HIs big shot in the arm is probably going to be the real brains behind the offense. Greg Nosal!
Y'all sometimes miss OGH's keen "sarcasm". He may be on the wrong side of the Diaz/Fedora orgy train tonight, but he'll be cumin round the mountain when we *** ...OGH is a "keeper".

Look at the comments on this message board. Just a few weeks back the Herd was calling for Manny to ascend to the head coach position, and then when he was appointed the so-called "Cane Nation" went into their normal meltdown mode.

Attitude depends on what you believe is possible at the time. It's like having a 3rd & 25 at the 30 yard line. Fans will be pleased if they can get a field goal. But after a 28-yard completion to the 2, it's first and goal. Circumstances have changed so now they'll be ****ed if they don't get a touchdown.

So you believe Manny Diaz is the most qualified coach at there at this point in time for the University of Miami job ?
and if so based on what ?
Manny is in no way the most qualified for the job, but your post wasn’t about qualifications. Among ohther thinks I was referring to::

“AD knew Diaz would do whatever BOT wanted to get the job, and has in cleaning house - they're hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with this hire”

Any new hire is going to clean house. How is that in any way seen as doing whatever the bot wanted?

Diaz thing happened way too fast especially with a $4 million buy out, think they could have done better and for whatever reason opted not to.
So, they have to be getting something out of this.

need one o r two more recruiting cycles before we are at the point where we can beat Clemson and bama on a regular basis.

Meet ernesttbass ,ammok and jagre inbreeding kissing cousins they grandparents got run over by a reindeer on the way home from Maggie's valley flew market in them dar hills.
Your short bus writing IQ is very funny, as is your level of delusion above LOL

They just went and sliced Temple $4M for renting Diaz for a press conference. Yet they ain’t willing to go scratch a check for a couple hundred g to grab Yost? This **** is nuts I’ll tell ya.

Who said Diaz ever finalized a contract yet?

Maybe we didn't pay them anything

In his ESPN interview it sure sounded like he had someone big “that would be a big shot in the arm” of current players and recruits.

He certainly raised expectations a few notches. That first sounded to me like Fedora. Maybe things, like in the recruiting world, have quickly changed and he may have to settle for a little less than expected and a decent hire may now be viewed as a big disappointment.

Should he have been a bit more tempered?

**** no. Be ****y. Bring that swagger!

Their job is to spend money. Their ROI is the prestige that comes with a winning program.

They’re finally doing their jobs.
