"I talked to coaches," he said. "They were saying stuff about the offer, that because of probation they were saying it's a numbers game with the offers but they still want me. It's going to be if they have space."

Seems as though he wants to be a cane and it will come down to signing day to see if we extend another offer im guessing until jordan signs we will know

Correct seems like if we offer again hes back in supposedly it was about early enrolling when he didnt that was a problem either way it looks like us or n dame and i think it comes down to signing day if scar bolts we get williams as a backup

i would love to have him that speed he has cannot be taught...he's alittle raw though his whole tape is him just boucning it tot he oustide and outrunning guys

Peter said awhile ago that we pulled his scholarship. Not saying that him getting it offered again won't happen, I really hope it does he clearly wants to come here badly.

I don't understand how we are running out of offers. Let's be realistic for a sec..Fenton, TG, Barry, Brightwell, RGreen and Ddavis are most likely not coming.

I think the best case scenario is MLewis, ACalloway, and KScott. With Scarlett. So am I missing something? How is there no room?

Numbers? Joe Brown and Tyler Grimsley have scholarships but we don't have enough room to offer an obvious stud. I'm convinced these coaches are ******* retarded.

Probation prohibits us from having more than 84 in any of the '14-'16 seasons and use the 9 total during that time. With 75 finishing the season and 3 others (Sandland, Olsen, and Hester) who I believe counted against the 85 in '14, that should have left us with 7 that counted against the 9 we need to give up. I'm not buying the probation talk they are telling Williams.

That's BS. Williams wanted out after UM was locked with Walton and junior Beastmode. At this time Dex is locked and loaded to attend Notre Lame.

Kid decommitted because he thought golden was getting fired he jumped the gun he does want to be a cane I believe. Now whether he becomes one or not is a different story

Not implausible that it is a numbers thing. Beyond the total number limit you have class limits, which I believe (but don't claim to have real information) is the limiting factor in this case. As an early enrollee he would have counted against last year and so been ok. I imagine the conversation went something along the lines of, "You decommitted and we have promised x number of players scholarships who we expect to sign. If we find out one of those guys is not coming you are back in."

I have a harder time with the second theory, initially proffered by Ariz: that he was let go to help secure Scarlett. It just doesn't pass the smell test to me that 1) we would tell a kid to kick rocks and he would still want back in, and 2) Scarlett would be either secured by eliminating one of the backs or not oblivious to the game if we later resigned that back.

To me it makes the most sense that he wanted to decommit so we let him go without a fight to clear some space for defensive prospects, but, if we end up having room, will be happy if he comes back.

He jerked us around about enrolling early because he tried to strong arm the staff to give his boy an offer it backfired now he want back in

The coaches dropped him because Scarlett only wanted two RBs.

It's not an issue of his talent. It's the staff believing Scarlett has more talent. And I agree with them.

Now this could backfire obviously if Scarlett bolts.

First Golden is an anusburger.

Second there is plenty of dead weight to cut both in the 2015 class and on the team. Make it happen.

Third Golden better figure it out because this kid should be a cane.

To the fans, stop acting proud ("he can walk") because we need his talent at Miami.
