^^^^I've seen Wilder up close and he looks bigger/lankier than Spence and Grace did.
I think the staff sees a high-motor player who can really run (22.8 200M). At worst, he can be a special teams demon.

Weird how people that have actually seen him play live (which includes the staff) are the ones who have the least questions about him...

Is that actually the case, though? All D Money said was that he looks bigger/lankier than Spence and Grace.
I am no coach or scout but I am all about Wilder. Diaz has said again and again he wants a defense like Miami is known for based on speed and aggression not size. You can't coach speed and Wilder has it in spades. He might be thin but is tall with room to grow. After 6 months to 1 year in the S&C he will be 220lbs easy and running down dudes like a **** gazelle sideline to sideline.
I think it's been said & I know he's a nole, but size/speed/style in HS are very comparable.

Telvin Smith hits peopl and they go down. That's not what Wilder does. Also, Smith is 6'3 and has some of the smoothest footwork I've seen in a LB.
