No one can convince me that Dawson could NOT SEE an overloading of the line - and still called a run off tackle.

Successful throw/run offenses - and he gets here and abandons his creative passing game?

Or a Head Coach that's decided what his Offense will be - IN SPITE of it being obsolete due to improved offenses?

Actually like the tunnel screen but when are we going to fake one and take a deep shot off of it? Again goes to the lack of creativity.

I always hated lashlee’s inside zone e but he did have some great play-action off it.

I just don’t understand why people are complaining about us coming out in tight formations and running the ball. You want us coming out in spread formations and throwing with a QB who is consistently throwing ill-advised interceptions? How is it not obvious why we have decided to completely change our offense to you? There’s no trust in QB1 to execute ANYTHING.

Nobody has a problem with running the ball. The problem is running the ball into 8 man boxes. It doesn’t work. The lack of creativity is mind boggling. This team is not talented enough to line up man on man and run it down people’s throats. It has to be a numbers game. Spread the defense out and run it.

I can’t count how many times Gibson brought his 3rd safety down into the box and Horton was left with one on one to the field side and we still ran it. They didn’t even have to account for more than 3 guys at a time for most of the night. 8 vs 5 and 7 vs 5 isn’t a recipe for success.

Dawson isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer imo. He was a meh hire, but you were hoping his "air raid" passing concepts would be a big change from Gattis offense.

I'm just dumbfounded why we don't find ways to get speed on the field. Why we don't get Brashard Smith the ball in different ways.

Get Old Man McCormick off the field, and get Tyler Harrell on the field. CJ at RB. Put some fear in the defense. Run more tempo.

Use Jacurri Brown in packages. Like you can be way more creative than Dawson has been.

It's his responsibility to score points.

We all know TVD is Broken and horrid. That being said, go read about why a Dawson why fired after one year at Kentucky, and it is starting to make sense. We need changes at both spots next year. Just not sure if Mario capable of hiring an OC and leaving the guy alone. Dawson is just a JAG, but Mario can control him, which is the opposite of what is needed. I was ready to go back in time and assassinate any woman names Mrs. Enos to prevent Dan Enos from being born if it would prevent us from hiring Dan Enos. But the usual suspects told me I was crazy and Kirby Smart wanted him and this is big boy ball.

I was a big fan of Lashlee, and he was the only OC we’ve had worth a **** and made TVD look like a first rounder.

And I hated Dawson.

The next OC thread needs just be everybody waiting for my prophetic announcement.

I‘m not ready to say that yet but something has been exposed the last month. Something on film. I also think he’s trying to meld his offense with what Mario wants. When you’re running the ball, the problem is the formation. When you don’t have a QB who can see that and change the play, then your problem is the QB. Everybody is failing.

TVD has remained constant the entire time and cost us games with interceptions under Lashlee as well. Nothing he did last night or the last couple weeks was different than what he provided vs UNC and FSU in 2021 under lashlee.

Lashlee got TVD to light up bums, sure, but so did Dawson the first 4 games of the season. No OC looks good when his QB throws ill-advised INTs.

This this this. In Lash's offense, if you had 1v1 on outside, you took a shot. In Dawson offense, you run up the middle into 9 guys.

How on earth are you guys forgetting Dawson WAS taking shots before QB1 completely lost the feel of the game and started under-throwing everything????

TVD lit up P5 schools under Lashlee. What are you talking about?

Lashlee’s offense took a QB that absolutely sucks. We all see that. And made him one of the most hyped QBs in all of college football. And TVD didn’t play a single G5 school under Lashlee.

It’s because the space and pacing made playing QB a lot easier than all of the stupid **** we will ever do under Mario.

Yes and no. Lash was able to get 10x more out of TVD than Dawson can (with way worse OL at the time) and thats why Lash is a much better OC. We all know TVD has flaws but Lash made the game simple for him. Lot of RPO (1 read and throw), lot of 1v1 Go routes on outside (1 read pre-snap and throw), lot more scheming to get skills guys open. Somehow Dawson cant figure that out cause he sucks.
