Darkest days

I will go with a recent one, Jason Marshall.
The gaytor tears were going to be glorious and was disappointed we didn't get them.

Several....

Getting shafted late by QBs in three successive seasons under Larry Coker. None of the QBs turned out any good but this showed how inept the staff was at recruiting. Some awful WR recruiting as well. What ever happened to Lance Legget?

Patrick Johnson-Peterson. Bag game victim by L$U.

Willie Williams. Had he lived up to 80% the hype Miami’s fortunes might have been different. Generational talent. Complex story.

Shannon’s MNW class. Signed a half-dozen studs and had the #1 recruiting class. Only Spence became a player, with Jacory having great moments and some awful ones. Marcus Forston? Aldarious Johnson? Ben Washington? Waste of scholarships. MNW LB Lavonte David, signs with Nebraska and is now one of the best OLBs in the NFL.

Yeah, the stories OP ran through were not that bad. Knew those guys weren't coming. Johnson/Peterson to LSU you just knew he was a generational player and the way LSU swooped in was always sketchy
We stopped recruiting him. Went from his leader to dropping the best corner prospect (possibly ever) in SFL. Shannon didn’t want to play ball with his camp and we all knew 8+ months ahead of signing day it was a lost cause

Golden and his band of clowns offering Lamar Jackson ....As a WR...

Cook was a program changer and we had Fat Al and Co staking out his grandma's house or some weird rumour like that...

For me definitely Cook. I remember seeing a picture of him on his OV pushing Yearby around in a wheelchair thinking we had him 🤦🏽‍♂️

Randy Shannon rule that he would not recruit a CB or LB if they were under 6 feet. Only to see South Florida kids begs for offers and go ball out somewhere else. All because they weren’t 6 feet. As if this is the NFL. Compete insanity.

Shannons refusal to recruit Central kids. Ruined that relationship for 10 years.

Just curious, being an old cane fan, who was the one recruit that seemed to breathe new life into the program?
