Damien Alford, WR, McArthur

His speed is deceiving, and his route running seems basic. I’m not totally sure about him yet, but he at least has good size.

Seemed more sought after when he was a 2021 kid but now that he's in the 2020 class, schools have cooled on him

Dont think they cooled on him. He reclassified in like August....and wasnt here playing in the states till spring. Honestly had he stayed in 2021 he would be the top wr in south florida.

There really is no 1 that can really cover him 1 on 1 consistently in the area. His wingspan is too large and he has speed. Its deceptive speed as he builds up. Sort of like Njoku they have the same gait.

Yall know where im at with it with him. He's a matchup nightmare.

You just need a tall boy or two on your roster. They have their function, even if they are not particularly good.

Darrell Langham justified his scholarship with one catch in his final season. I'm cool with it.

He's not slow he just has build-up speed. He's not quick-twitch at all though which causes him to round some of his routes and lumber a bit when he has to decelerate.

He compares to Collin Johnson and Auden Tate but those guys have lighter feet imo so they're more sudden out of their breaks. Kelvin Benjamin was just a better athlete overall.

Anyone know his age? He moved from Montreal, he's not raw and he looks physically developed. In Quebec they have CEGEP football where kids can play after they graduate HS like JUCO. If he transferred from that he's gotta be 19 or 20. Also 5th years are common for Canadian athletes in HS.

I don't see where he fits in this class with Redding already committed. Dropping him is not an option even if Alford is better right now. I prefer Lacy who has more route-running potential vs. recruiting 2 guys with overlapping skillsets. If he was 2021 still then I'd be intrigued because his floor is very high as a boundary contested catch specialist.

That kid isn’t slow , wtf are y’all taking about? He just has super long strides , that’s pretty **** good speed for 6’5 205.

Come on now for a WR that’s slow.

He moves really well , that’s a 6’5 210 guy leaving guys. He’s not blazing but that dude is moving. Far from slow , that’s just long strides.

He might lack acceleration but once he’s built speed up he’s scooting.

From Montreal
I think he still might be Jamaican. Dude's named Damien and he moved to Broward from Canada. Sounds like a Dread to me. Aside from that, big man's got skills. Huge catch radius, long strider, 50/50 ballwinner, red zone nightmare, and more raw than sushi... Shoot your shot....
