There was just something about the way Edge improved the RB room. He would gain several extra yards on every play compared to the guys before him. That’s why I put him on the pedestal. McGahee, Portis, and Gore were impressive, but less so because they followed Edge. The “eye test” on Edge was great. Never forget the UCLA game.

The 02 season by McGahee was a spectacle. You heard his naming buzzing every time you left the house on the weekend. Who knows what would have been if not for Will Allen.

Mel was the ****. Mcghaee as far as that one season went. Really liked Duke. And can't go wrong with Portis, Gore, Edge! Just say if u gave me a UM back this year I'd want want McGahee!

McGahee is a 2x Pro Bowl…I would put him in category #1

Good point. He scored a lot of TDs in the league.

But his ‘02 college season was SO far above what he was able to accomplish in the league. Of course, there is a pretty good reason for that and we all know what it is. We’ll never know what his NFL career would’ve looked like without that submarine cheap shot to his knee in the desert.
