DAILY DEBATE: Who is ranked too high or too low?

Funny enough, I think they got the ACC all wrong. Louisville and GT are top 25 teams, SMU is ranked about 6-7 spots too high. All 3 of those squads should be in the 19-25 range.

Illinois too high, I also think UGA is rated too high. Gunnar isn’t it at QB and BoBo has slowly been killing that offense. This is gonna be their first 3 loss season in sometime.

We should probably be around 15 but you gotta sell that Top 10 matchup

Florida should be at best in the 20s more like unranked. Agreed not Gator tears they’re one of the few teams with more questionable coaching than us
I mean who’s ahead of us though? 10 makes sense based of talent we’ve acquired and last season. Especially when you look at the 6 teams below us. This year seems VERY very even. Idk if there’s one team Im looking at like “instant favorite”.

Skeptical on Oregon. Going to have to see it with Dante Moore before I buy it. They lost a lot of talent.

Michigan definitely too high. Sherrone Moore is not Harbaugh and it'll be evident quickly.

I don't think UGA is as dominant this year as usual. Similar to Oregon, going to have to see it with the QB. Maybe the revamped WR room helps but its still a Bobo offense. Thinking they fall down to a 9-3 type of year.

Word out of Tennessee is they're in big trouble if a QB doesn't take the reigns. Injuries/guys banged up everywhere. Defense still good but isn't going to carry them like last year. Someone that has been at every practice said that if they played anyone OOC or if the schedule was even middle of the road SEC caliber, they wouldn't make a bowl. But they got it easy.

Incredibly weak OOC, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Miss State, and Arkansas is bottom of the SEC barrel and they got all of them. They probably lose the rest of the conference games on their schedule with a pulse. So 8-4 in the SEC will look great, but if you dig in, much like last year, their record was not impressive and they skated on by with 1 gimmick ranked win and nothing else even remotely impressive. A goal line fumble by Mertz from losing to Florida. Then, we got all of the hate for our schedule and the lucky wins.

I’m not really gonna do this debate again but if someone wants to make a case we are a top 10 team I can understand it I just don’t think so

Yet

I lean on coaching when things are close and we are behind there

Clemson wayyyyyy too high. They played 6 above .500 teams last year. Only beat 1 out of 4 (7-6 Pitt) during the regular season. Almost blew it to SMU. Got pounded by UGA, Louisville (at home), and lost to SCAR.

they return a ton, but feasted on a terrible schedule

I have said the same about Clemson, their defense is loaded, and new DC is contributing to this.

I think UF might be sneaky good

Im not sold on Lagway being this exceptional talent but they do have solid lines, always have good DBs and athletes

Ohio st won't make the playoff.
Oregon isn't a top 10 team but that schedule saves them.
Oklahoma shouldn't be anywhere near the top 20.

They're not sneaky. Everyone I
Listen to thinks they're loaded but that they'll be a victim of their schedule. It is brutal.
But on paper, if Lagway is who they thing he is, they're pretty loaded. Not as many 1st year transfers helps continuity. Both lines are top 10 and are big.

They're already hurt, though.

Lagway isn't 100%. Dallas Wilson is in a cast. Tre Wilson is already hurt and that kid gets hurt breathing.

I think they'll be a lot better this year too, though. Much like us, it's tough to stink if you're good on both lines, and I think they'll be good on both lines. But yes, the schedule is rough, I think they can be one of the best 15 teams in the country and go 8-4. But I like Lagway, I like their OL, I like their receivers a lot (provided they're healthy, which they're not).

The game here against them is going to be a dogfight. My biggest reason for optimism is Billy's insistence on calling plays. His offense sucks, and he won't give up play-calling duty. Would be nice for LSU to beat the **** out of them the week before, too.

I worry their lines can have success against Miami and they have enough play makers to score

I have a feeling South Carolina is going to be better than you think.
Could see it going both ways. Sophomore seasons can be tough on QBs plus Sanders was a beast for them last year (Rocket and TJ)

But then you got guys like Stewart getting better and maybe Sellers continues to improve

Skeptical whether Beamer is a top 10 coach type guy though. Same way I feel about Mario though

What did UiF do in your eyes this offseason that changes the fact we bullied them up and down the field last year on both sides in their yard?

I see our OL being perhaps better than last year so I’m just wondering what they did that I missed
