DAILY DEBATE: Who is ranked too high or too low?

Disagree on the Lines. Their C is fantastic, but the rest of the line is less consistent than people think. Additionally, the biggest issue people overlook is Billy. He’s still a mediocre gameday coach, and we saw that they were last yea.
Barber is very good and healthy.
Theres some projection but so are we with Bell and McCoy. **** Cooper was very average last year. I do agree about Billy. Also, had no clue how banged up they are. But that game is over a month away

I’m not really gonna do this debate again but if someone wants to make a case we are a top 10 team I can understand it I just don’t think so

Yet

I lean on coaching when things are close and we are behind there
Agreed, I must’ve missed your first debate. I just don’t think Miami SHOULD lose to anyone 11-16. Easily has the better roster.

To your entire point the season is WIDE open this year and honestly I can see arguments for any team

It’s my own fault for being close to this program where we see faults differently than casual viewers of the program

Also preseason rankings are just for talking pieces anyway

I very much believe in the talent on this team and fully expect a playoff birth

Penn St. too high. I am not impressed with their QB, despite what draft prognosticators think.

UF too high. Not Gator hater post, but their schedule is tough. I think they'll be out of the top 25 rankings at some point in the season. Having to play at LSU, at Miami, Texas, at TAMU is a brutal stretch.

Penn State @ #2 - no way. Although, in typical Penn State fashion, they play ZERO non-conference games on the road. They also are playing the cuppiest of cupcakes - Nevada, FIU and Villanova - for non-conference games.
They have two difficult B1G games - O$U and Oregon. They get Oregon in Sad Valley and the Luckeyes in CBus.
Drew Allar has indeed played a lot....a lot of mediocre football.
The Ghost of Jerry Sandusky will lead to a 10-2/9-3 season. F Pedo State

Michigan, The Gates, Oklahoma, aTm and Indiana.... all over rated. Unless we're talking hoops.

Haven’t put much thought into the full rankings but im not as high as most of the fanbase is on our roster

Quarterback
Offensive Line
Defensive Line
Corner

Probably the 4 most important positions on a football team. I think if you asked any coach to start a football team, and they had to build it from the ground floor, these are the positions they'd attack first. I think Miami is very, very good at all these spots. Doesn't mean some warts can't pop up elsewhere, doesn't mean we're going 16-0. But IMO when you're good to great all those 4 spots, you've got an incredibly high floor as a football team.

I can listen to arguments about the DL not being totally there, but nobody is going to convince me we're not good to great at QB, OL, and Corner this season. And I think the DL is right there as well, but they do have more to prove than the other 3, IMO.

Finebaum can't wait for all your Christmas Cards this year...

"I think the most vulnerable team is Miami," Finebaum said.
I've been saving my cologard test strips for his Christmas gift this year. I started swabbing last year on Christmas and I'm hoping to have exactly 365 prepared specimen to send him. It's sort of like One-A-Day-Plus-Iron, but hold the iron and add something else.

Now I wish it was a leap year though because of those comments.

I saw the bear say yesterday of the teams ranked 16-25 in the preseason poll, only one (Miami) finished the year ranked last season.

Obviously doesn't mean the same thing will happen this year, but most likely several, if not most, of these teams will finished the year unranked:

SMU
Kansas State
Oklahoma
A&M
Indiana
Ole Miss
Iowa State
Texas Tech
Tennessee
Boise State

I actually like most of these teams this year, but if I had to pick who ***** the bed, I'll go Tennessee, Indiana, Oklahoma, and A&M.
Really hoping OU has another disappointing season. Can't stand their fans or coach.

Yeah agreed. Also doesn’t help with that what we should do and what we have done over the last 20 years is completely different. PTSD is a real thing.

But if there’s ever a time to just go off pure talent, talent acquisition and last seasons growth it’s preseason rankings lol

And let’s be honest, if anyone tells you Miami shouldn’t be ranked 10 all we gotta do is just point to 15 to end that conversation 😂

Top 10-
PSU, LSU
11-15-
Illinois, USEe, Michigan
16-25
All but Ole **** and flip a coin between KSU/ISU

Eff it. I'll throw in OU too.

A lot of it is Beck as well

I mean if he’s healthy and 100% and been putting in work with the WRs we could be dangerous

So many question marks at QB around the country we are one of the few teams that can probably get pretty close to a prediction on stats

I suppose to tie a bow on this point check back in about two weeks when I let the Kool Aid sink down into the bones and just get unhinged

"I think the most vulnerable team is Miami," Finebaum said.
So he said out of all the teams currently in the top 10 that are most likely to finish outside of the top 10 (which just means 11 or lower…), Miami is the most likely.

But he didn’t say why he believes Miami is vulnerable.

And also said that he doesn’t see Miami losing a lot of games, only one or two.

Y’all just keep falling for the clickbait…
