DAILY DEBATE: What did you see from Markel Bell at LT?

My initial thoughts:

They trusted him enough to get the start while protecting our biggest asset. He clearly understands the playbook enough to get the nod.

What he lacks in physicality, he makes up for in effort and physical traits. Not a great punch in pass pro and locks out arms, holds on for the ride so to speak. I would say, I'd be pretty nervous going into a USF/VT with him at LT. My question is how long is the learning curve for him to get a real feel for the position. Gotta get comfortable enough to win the pass pro fights with single punches rather than throwing both. Better players will have counters.

I do think he moves well enough to play here though.

People need to remember he’s still very raw, and will be in this program for a few years. When next season comes around, I’m confident he’ll be ready to rock and roll. He without a doubt flashed.

Bell has potential, but working with Mario and Mirabel for a year and at least he will be above average and potentially play in the league. biggest selling point Mario has inO line development A.Cooper who came in at 400lbs and was developed and worked his -ss off and will play on sundays

He will be ready for a starting spot next year if Rivers leaves. Rivers is still a redshirt junior lol.

Needs work.

I may have confused him and McCoy on certain plays. Both are large individuals.

Stiff. First step isn't the best. Good when he has the chance to get those big *** paws on you. He needs more time for sure and prob needs to drop a little weight.

Think he can be an all conference (non first team) before he leaves.

What I noticed was the 1 foot height difference of him and Lou.

Not to detour the thread but Lou to FB.

As for Bell, could develop into a good OT but needs more reps.
