DAILY DEBATE: What adjustments would you make on offense going from Ward to Beck?

We did not bring in a top QB like carson beck to run 70% of the time. We would have got a running dual threat QB then. Still need to take advantage of the arm talent of Beck behind this incredible o-line. Offense should be more balanced than last year tho
I know that but I was specifically asking @Memnon There must be a reason he said he wasn't joking or being sarcastic.

Diversify the god**** running game.

Implement some super advanced concepts like running off tackle and running counters.

Mario and Mirabal make things way harder by running up the middle every play.

Get rid of the Dawson screen.

Designed QB sweeps using Becks speed. Enough to move the ball without taking hits.

I'd also just ask Beck what he excels at and build around it.

And why exactly do we need to be a run heavy team to win? Since you're not joking or being sarcastic, do you really think the passing offense with a healthy Beck will be that bad?
- He's not as good of a QB
- The WR's are unproven
- No Martinez
- No Arroyo
- A less mobile QB won't have as much time in the pocket to survey the field, which means less opportunities at the Deep ball
- Defenses are going to play a lot more Man coverages & send overload Blitzes

The only way to maximize the Offense is to run it until it causes nosebleeds. That's the only way to open up the passing game, because otherwise Defenses are not going to respect our weapons, which will dictate the way in which they attack us.

If you wanna see a bunch of turnovers & 3 & outs, then be my guest, but it would be unwise to play to our weaknesses over our strengths.

But either way, don't take my word for it, you'll see it for yourself in Aug/September.

I’m sure Dawson will tailor it to what Beck’s good at but I think it will be good structured similarly to when TVD was QB. Was still a top-30 offense despite the interceptions.

Look at Becks stats in 2023, when he had a good line and a WR/RB room that actually had a pulse(unlike 2024). Only 6 picks.

People last year thought we’d be a turnover machine, and were all worried about his fumbling issues at Washington State. The numbers will likely take a little dip from last year, but our passing game will still probably be one of the best in the country

I'm not people. That narrative doesn't apply to me.

2025 Miami's Offensive weapons are not 2023 UGA's weapons & Offense. It's not the same situation or circumstances & is not going to produce the same results.

I'm absolutely fine with a run heavy offense in this years incarnation. It just seems like it's something that we are good at and will be good at for all the reasons you listed. I don't think you get it. It's not that I don't agree with it. It's that I wanted you to say it.

I've been saying it for months now.

How was I supposed to be able to tell that you were serious? You tend to engage in a lot of sarcasm which is fine. I like sarcasm lol. You are right my friend. I agree with you. That's why I've been posting stuff about getting Lofton involved in the running game and running heavy sets and unbalanced lines. You're the 🐐 for a reason. Hopefully we get a gamebreaker at WR.

Make The Deep Ball Be Feared, more Vertical Passing Game.
*Notice Beck’s Arm was strong enough & on A rope on deep balls, could Out Throw the speed of Smith # 11. That is not easy to do .
Hope Ny Carr & The Portal Transfer receiver can Provide the True Deep Threat.

More play action, less pure drop back. Beck isn’t near the processor cam was for the amount of pure drop back plays we ran

Tamper with a couple WRs for the spring portal lol

What I appreciate most about you is that you see personnel and adjust.most coaches don’t do this, let alone fans Run and gun with cam. Ground and pound with beck.

I think Dawson will be more inclined to run the **** ball. Will get depth rb or te to give lofton flex.

We have massive humans on the ol.

This right here…

Let’s stop leading the nation in runs between the guards.
