I am confused as to why people on CIS don’t applaud every time we are referred to as a big NIL spender. I agree with @RVACane that we haven’t yet seem results commensurate with our spending. But I also agree with @DMoney that UM (and Texas Tech) were starting from a different place than OSU and the others when NIL became a reality.

But in short, I want UM to have the reputation of spending a lot as it resonates with players. And I believe that it will pay off soon.

Absolutely, D$. We didn't fill every hole we have in the portal and positions are fluid by years, but we are so far beyond that 21 roster. I would say we still need another class or maybe even 2 before the roster is set with depth, but the portal has changed that for everyone. I doubt we ever see a roster stacked like Saban's at Bama anymore.

I read what he said and how he said it. It wasn't in jest or a bad meaning. In fact, he extended in Indiana demanding better athlete and assistant compensation.

He just says these are the top dogs. There's no bad intent behind it.
