Culture is not just a buzzword

Yeah I’m done with this. Ridiculous

I'm just trying to nail down your reasoning. Don't get frustrated.

You said that FSU is winning because of coaching, not because of a culture change. But if that is true, why didn't they win right away with the exact same coach?

The obvious and correct reason is that Norvell had a whole lot of cleaning up to do before the x's and o's ever meant anything.

Mario has to clear the coaches out & clear the players out. Fire everyone, hire a new oc & new dc & let them bring their own staffs in.

I see “credibility” is the new buzzword around here.

Literally the only ppl who question Mario’s credibility are canes fans on their board and rivals who should.

The guy has reputation as a program builder, who recruits the best players, and is known for instilling discipline and toughness.

And despite a losing record has one of the top classes in the country…

But apparently CIS grand jury has decided his “credibility” is in question.
This isn’t true either man.. he wasn’t universally revered as such amongst his peer or among fans elsewhere. A lot of people liked him and a lot of people didn’t. He’s always been known as relentless recruiter but his credibility as a program builder is sort of over blown. He’s never done it

It’s 100% a Crutch and y’all are full of **** dawg. Manny Diaz was ran out of town before any talk of the culture came up
I will disagree that culture was not discussed with Manny because it absolutely was.

Everything is a crutch then.

To me, it’s part of the problem and can only be used as an issue this year so it’s a one year card.

Coaching sucks no doubt and I can understand why players aren’t buying into it because of how it has been approached by the grown men:the coaches thus exacerbating the situation.

If you gotta pull it out before the season is even over it should tell you everything you need to know. If it was brought up with manny it didn’t happen this fast

I can agree with most of that but I recall with Manny, it went back to the defense when he was the D-Coordinator vs the Richt offense side of the ball (Jets vs Sharks type)

Harbaugh also excelled at the highest possible level and built programs

He has a lot more credibility than Mario

Of course culture matters. But this is the same team that was better last year under a laughable head coach

Not sure why we still need to keep bringing this up
Hi first three years at Stanford he went 4-8, 5-7 and 8-5. You see what I'm getting at here?

You’re so dead set on proving your point that you’re completely ignoring what I’m trying to say because you think it’s just another anti Mario post

So I’m not gonna explain it anymore

And spare me the message board smugness like that’s not plainly obvious

Who were to the top

Tacklers and WRs on last years team?

Who were the starting linebackers on last year team?

The idea that the 2022 hurricanes are the same as the 2021 hurricanes is ludicrous.

I’m not saying the coaching has been great there is plenty to be desired.

But I’m also not going to say this is the same team.

Or even that this team is as talented as Canes fans think it is on paper.

These kids need(Ed) a lot of development many of them had not gotten it for 2-3 years.

MTSU has faster WRs than we do…

Duke’s Oline was able to push us around…we couldn’t even get a yard of push vs them.

Literally the opposite of talent.
The entire offense besides Can Harris, Charleston Rambo and Mike Harley is still there.

Rambo and Harley were great for us last year but let’s be real about them. Neither got drafted. Neither were even good college receivers before playing in Lashlee’s system with Rob Likens.

That’s what good coaches do. They take average talents, find what they do best and maximize their abilities while not asking them to do a bunch of things they can’t do well.

In 2020, Miami had a very weak group of receivers and a quarterback who was more athlete than passer. They still somehow managed to score 34 points per game. The coaches tailored the offense around the players they had.

In 2021 when the athletic quarterback got hurt, Lashlee didn’t ask TVD to do the same things that King was doing. He changed the system to make it work with no run blocking and one healthy running back. They scored 34 points per game again.

Garbage coaches don’t adjust to the players they have. They force them to do things they’re not capable of and then blame talent and execution when they inevitably fail.
