Really doubt that you understand the US embargo.
US has the power to enforce it and make every country honor it.
If it was vs another country like China, Russia or even Iran the outcome would be different.

What the US is doing is picking on a small country that doesn't have the power to overcome that embargo.
I don't really think I'm the one with the wrong interpretation here. Neither would the people I know who've been to Cuba.

You can stop with political BS. You must first distinguish socialistic principles from dictatorship. When did Social Security, Universal hHealthcare, public drinking water, public transportation become a bad idea. We're the only G7 country without Universal Healthcare. Our mortality rate 8s w9rse than 3rd world countries.

Let's not forget who put Cuba back on the Terrorist state list blocking trade with Cuba hurting the Cuban people. This current situation didn't just pop up. It's been there for decades. Now the Cuban people are making a push and all the sudden it's on Biden when 45 didn't do ****.

The Cuban regime is an ally of Russia. The US isn't going to invade Cuba. No President has done it. Perhaps the US would aide the revolution like we're supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression, but not with US military force. That part isn't going to happen.
For one thing, not all countries calculate mortality rate the same of have complete data.

For another, we can increase life expectancy and improve health by forcing people to eat nothing but salad. Is it worth it?

Jfc you can’t be this ******* dumb.

How do I ban you from my thread for being this uninformed or willfully ignorant
I’m just reading this now bc I got tagged. I can thread ban people from your thread.

how long is @1LuvCane out?
I don’t know, I just learned that he was system banned. I’ll have to look at it.
On another note, I’m pretty disappointed in some of the things I’ve seen in here blaming Miami Cubans for Cuba’s problems. That’s pretty messed up. It’s good to see @SpikeUM in here showing up for the Jewbans and the rest of us Anglo Judio’s who feel a special bond with the Cuban people.

Lol fake news, you guys need to go to cuba and see for yourselves.
The miami cuban community has poisoned your minds with all the negative propaganda.
This is what the Castro regime says in it’s talking points - and I get that there are different views on the embargo and the best way to get to a free Cuba but you’re praising the Cuban Revolution which became a one man dictatorship too.

JC dude, you can believe what you want but you know that this is a very sensitive issue for Cuban Americans, which neither of us are. You’re posting on a Miami message board. You have to know that what you are doing is baiting them and stirring up problems.

Like why agitate like that? Go post that stuff in the Guardian or HuffPost where you’re amongst Commie friends and the occasional fascist.

Im out til then too. Him getting banned for responding to that clueless, ignorant ******* doofus was total bull**** and everything that’s wrong with this place.
Did he get an infraction bc of this thread?

I think there are 2 posters in here at least - who are baiting Cubanos and I don’t like it. It’s why I don’t like the OT board.

I know is sensitive issue, but cuban americans need to learn to respect others opinions on the issue.

I'm not agitating nor baiting anyone just stating my opinion on the matter.
Is sensitive for a lot of people but cuban americans don't own the truth.
I have a right to speak on the matter as long as I don't insult or break the rules here.
I didn't start the thread, but when you start one like any other subject you have to expect different viewpoints.
I've been to Cuba and lived in different latin american countries, I can speak on the subject with first hand knowledge.

All this stuff is agitating the situation.

Most of my time in Latin America has been living part time in the DR. You saw some things but you didn’t see other things. Like I have 2 different friends I grew up with whose families left Cuba in the 60’s and 70’s. The price for the families leaving to live in the U.S. is that my friends’ fathers had to stay behind in Cuba and work hard labor in the Sugar Cane fields for Castro for 4 or 5 years and then they could leave. They had no freedom to simply leave the country. This is a fact I know personally.

I remember in elementary school when one of my friends father’s was reunited with him. He’s Catholic and it was right before my Bar Mitzvah which he attended and that was a new experience for him. I don’t know if you grew up in Miami but we learned from each other there.

I abhor this board. The OP can have people thread banned.

That's true with almost all poor countries, some emigrate and families are separated, they can't just leave and fly to the US to be united. Unless they do it illegally.

Why are we giving a communist/socialist any type of respect? Communism and Socialism are responsible of hundreds of millions of people on this very earth. They don’t deserve an opinion.

That’s not how it worked. They all could have gotten on the boat. The fathers were forced to stay against their will and work hard labor in the sugar cane fields for Castro for years in return for him saying that “your family can leave the country” on a boat someone else paid for. It wasn’t a payment for services. It was forced labor because they simply wanted to leave Cuba.

This thread isn’t why he got an infraction from what I’m told.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Congressional Black Caucus:

I respectfully and humbly write to ask that you wield your strong influence within our great country to spur intervention in the matter of the unfathomable repression and inhumanity that our mostly black and mulato brethren in Cuba are experiencing in this very moment as they seek to assert their fundamental human rights.

These protesters are being dragged, beaten, fired at, and imprisoned, all at the hands of a well armed and organized police state, and despite clearly insurmountable odds they stand with dignity to demand change for themselves and the generations to come. I hope that this valor in the face of oppression will resonate with you and that you will find it within your hearts to act in favor of protecting the Cuban people.

Thank you kindly for your attention to this urgent and critical matter.

I sent this to the CBC and to my congressperson

I can pass this along to people I know in NYC. Answer me this though, was there a large amount of Cubans who stand with their black brethren in regards to police brutality in the US in Miami? Because the majority of the Cubans I know where all posting "back the blue". I only know a handful of Cubans(mainly ones I went to the U with, so I can see them being biased). I am sure you know a lot more about what the majority feel. Because if the majority of them, not only were not helping us, but actively siding with the oppressors. Then it will be difficult to get them to rally around your struggle.

For every dollar of your precious tax dollars that you already pay to the government, somewhere in the area of half - 50 cents - goes to the military, veterans benefits, government pay to the bureaucracy, the RnD, International Affairs. The next fraction of a penny that it would require from you to have a conflict in Cuba...a conflict we are currently in and have been in since the embargo - at minimum - (which has essentially been an economic war that has led up to this very point in time in the first place) is nada.

Listen brother...come grab a beer from me at the first home game and I will gladly give you one crisp dollar bill that should cover your personal tax contribution to the liberation of the Cuban people. That should cover interest and consider the beer as a free thank you.
Genuinely curious. Do you have the same "its just a little bit more tax money" when it comes to supporting other Latin Americans? Such as allowing more Mexicans to come to this country? I would be totally fine paying more taxes to invade Cuba/let more Cuban refugees come to this country. However, I would also want to see that tax money going towards other Latinos that want to come to this country. Such as the Central Americans trying to cross the border.
